There's nothing that's not beautiful in Ireland. I've spent time there 4 times over the last 20 years. Yes, Kerry is gorgeous. The cliffs, the Burren, the Beehive huts...talk about magic! I love Dublin, although it must be very different now than 20 years ago. Can't wait to go back again.

Thank you and Congratulations!! Aw, I love the name Ylva, beautiful! Mac tíre (pronounced mac teer) is the name for wolf in Irish - for both male and female. My son is named Wolfe but when he's speaking in Irish he calls himself Mac tíre 😅

@@WolfeMommaI grew up in Cork and there used to be a well known hotel on the North Side called the Arbutus Lodge. (We used to go to hops (dances) there). The hotel is closed now and converted to apartments but I hope the arbutus trees are still there. Also, I worked with a girl from County Waterford who was called Clodagh.

Nice to see you back again. I never knew some of these like Avoca and Killashandra have become baby names, not just place names. One of my cousins, she is named Leigh which I read is a girls name spelling variant of Lee. I also have a cousin on the same side, his name is Shannon.

As a guy with the name Shannon this was my experiance when I walked across Ireland. "What's your name?" ... "Shannon"... *pause* "You know that's a girls name don't ya?" I swear I heard that 100 times. Got to a point I would just answer, "Shannon, fuck you, yeah I know it's a girls name." I had so many people laugh and say, "I was just about to say that."

I was told the name Shalaidah means female warrior but was also told that it's linked to forest dweller or from the faeries. Do you know which meaning it belongs too? I'm born in England but all my families history up to my grandparents come from Ireland apart from one Norwegian.😊
