your video of cork fire service at 1 minute 45 seconds is brilliant
Never understood why the Volvo FM has never been popular with many fire brigades. In the UK it is common to see them carrying aerial booms, but apart from several in Ireland and a few in Scotland I can't think of any more used as the chassis for fire engines.

I really do like the Volvo FM BUT very few use them alright. A few 4x4 Volvo FMX are in service with Northern Ireland FRS but that is it. They were not offered on the previous National contract the Volvo FE was and only 2 Brigades nationally took them. I did hear but don't know how true it is but Volvo may offer the FM again for the new national contract which is to begin in early 2021
Great collection guys, well put together too.
My dad was the third officer in cork city fire brigade

Thanks for the comments lads appreciated. More to come shortly.
Great video. Nicely put together.
Cheers. I got the alerters one night I was in Fermoy and the lads there got reassigned whilst returning from another call. Recorded the sound on the mobile phone from the scanner. Knew it would come in hand some time.
nice! i like it when they turnout with yelp as their first siren
Fantastic video....well done
@Arcadiaredneck It can be arranged but it very much depends as to where you plan to visit. Most of the Fire & Rescue services in are Part Time / Retained. Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway & Waterford Cities plus a few other station around the country are full time.
Keep them coming great vid
Great video keep it up :) best irish video out there
I am not sure about the UK, but here in Ireland blue lights are only used by emergency vehicles and no one else. It states that in our road traffic laws. Hence no red.
love the pager tone at the start!

It adds to it alright
@Munsterfireandrescue thanks
@strathclydefire1 There are actually 2 different ETs. One is Cork Cities Volvo FM9 Sidhean Teo ET and the other is a Volvo FLH280 Sidhean Teo ET. Cork Cities appears a few times as does the Cork County one. Both have Hiab Cranes.
Fantastic Video :)
Some great vids there!!!!
ex Bedfordshire & Luton F&RS turnign out at 45 seconds!
grate video but can i ask what i the sound track love is it the CORK fms turning out
@StrathclydeFireVids Im not sure but its the Korean Version of Ready Steady Go.
Question. As a Volunteer FF/EMT, if I wanted to visit a Fire Station in Ireland, could that be arrainged? and how?
love the sound of the old volvos @ 30 seconds... Even better drivin em to shouts... like racing cars... You can throw em into corners... Unlike the high bouncy scanias :/
That would be the Fire Station in Cobh in County Cork.
Brill love the irish tenders
Hey Fantastic Video. Whats the name of the song its well good
Paul Oakenfold - Ready, Steady, Go (remix) name of that song
Why did u choose the Korean version of Paul Oakenfold's tune for the video over the English version may I ask Shane, what difference would it have made, I believe the english version wouldve got u a lot more hits........
