They are grand commentators but I wish they would shut up at certain moments so you could clearly hear what an outrageous atmosphere there was at that match.

I remember coming home from Kildare on a bus just after playing a match. I was fucked and was streaming the match on my phone, and there must’ve have been about 7 over my shoulder trying to watch it too. Once the final whistle went the bus driver thought we were about to crash we were that loud. Great moment of that year

Late reply, but it's one of the gripes I have with the design of the Aviva. It's a bad cauldron for crowd noise on TV, and it takes something massive like this to really register.

As a Kiwi and AB's supporter, (with Irish great great grandparents of course) this is just outstanding. very special.

Goosebumps hearing this they are errupting the stadium keeping everyone silent why they express even the commentators have to shout i would of love to be there that day wow a experience you could never forget 🇮🇪🇮🇪💚💚

@@williamhagan8165 Ireland were and still are playing a similar game to how they were in 2018. Whether they give 100% or not, if tge other team know how to beat you, they will at test level. Also the fact that the Irish players werent playing great and havnt done for some time now. Same happened to England in the final, they didnt progress their game from how they played in the Semis and so SA knew how to beat them. Personally i think England have the better team and players, but SA knew what to do and England didnt adapt.

Fellow Scot now Australian here and I too got goosebumps. Any time the whole crowd is singing is awesome. I attended a football match here when the local team Brisbane Roar took on a visiting Liverpool side and they put the words of "You'll never walk alone" on the big screen and the whole crowd sang it, it was an incredibly moving experience.

I was at the 2021 Ireland v New Zealand Match 10 rows from the pitch and my parents my brother and I were singing along since we couldn’t here the commentators!

I love how the crowd sings it more proud and major when they won, vs. a more minor and dare i say eerie way during the match.

I was at my cousins wedding that day. Every phone was out at every table trying to watch it. We were also sneaking in and out between courses. Didnt go back in for dessert. Brother of groom and his wife came out about 20 minutes to go so we knew we weren't going to be in trouble then
