I love castles and spiral staircases!

I came across this wonderful video while looking at properties in Coyle, Oklahoma (random, I know). I can't even imagine living in an Irish castle, but I would love to find out! Ireland is the home of my ancestors, but I've never been there.

I have always wanted to visit Ireland, Maybe ... maybe before my life ends. Getting old ... better get to figuring it out!

No you dont. You dont want the history thar comes with it. Centuries of sorrow in Ireland from british invasions. The comment stayed in alot of castles meant he throw the irish out and took over. He killed a quarter of the population of Ireland. Men women and children. And he is not even the worst that was done in ireland by the british. Imagine centuruies of 9/11 followed by invasion. It would make u look at sky scapes differently.

I would love to see Ireland .it is beautiful.My bloodline starts there .love the bagpipes .

I'm sure the Normiles are well met on the lovely island. However I being a poor American relation I am sure its none for me. Save the usual Irish hospitality. Grand as always. I would love to have a home of any sort in the ancestral stomping grounds to be sure. maybe someday. (Fallowed by a sad but hopeful sigh)

But when the sun sets, & the moon is up & you'll hear wolves howling... It's nothing, I'm just kidding! XD It's BEAUTIFUL!!! ;-)

Those castles feel really home-y I feel like I could comfortably live there and I only saw them by video imagine if I were to visit them!

Alvin Palanca, You don't have to be a millionaire to buy a castle, though it does help, there's castles available for as little as $100,000, but castles and palaces cheaper than about $500,000 often need kilotons of repairs

Id love to have a castle

The outside of that renovated castle tower looks as though it's been rendered. That really takes a lot of the old character away. I hope there's some protection for these old buildings.

Are the contents of the castles included?

My ancestors once owned a castle in Ireland. Any chance I could have it back...............for free. ;-)

iTzNoxy, For the vast majority of castles for sale at less than $1,000,000 or so, the need for renovation and restoration is practically a given! Also, the vast majority of countries with medieval and renaissance castles and mansions, there's kilotons of historical preservation restrictions that can drastically drive up the cost of restoring and modernizing the castles.

When she said this is what people who come to her looking for castles expect I wondered who are these people it just looked like a chimney or a Tower. When thinking Castle I think of something a little more elaborate, but then agaIn i guess they come in all shapes and sizes.

I am not Neil , Wikipedia The last of the eastern Crusades cities fell in 1291 , and there were no more crusades . They start saying it was a 15century castle indicating ( 1401-1500) , then say it was built between 1600 and 1650 after son came back from Crusades . Did I miss something ? Was there a Crusade I missed ?

I need a very large castle with many bedrooms. I also will be needing enough land for my jet and helicopter. I will need an airstrip or enough land to build one. I will need rooms to house my staff (assistants for each family member, butler, maids, drivers, security team, chefs, etc). These seem very small. Also need to have land to build employee housing.

Actually, many of the castles for sale actually do have electricity and indoor plumbing.

A 2,000 sq.ft. private condo, with 4 rooms, with a 99 year leasehold, sells for about €1,750,000 in Singapore. I think I'm moving to Ireland and be the king of my own castle!
