This International Day of the Girl Child we want to introduce you to Irene - one of the incredibly brave, courageous and determined students that So They Can supports at Nginyang Girls’ High School in Baringo County, Kenya.

75% of the girls at this school have run away from home to escape female genital cutting (FGC) and early marriage. Many of them are young mothers, and never thought they would get the opportunity to go back school - yet here they are, safe, learning and thriving towards a brighter future for themselves and their young.
