One of the great Harlem divas. I loved Ms. Reid. It was the legendary vocalist Nancy Wilson who got her start into the big time when Irene couldn't make it to a club date in the Bronx one night and the owners called Nancy Wilson to fill in. The ( friends) great artist manager/Bassist John Levy and Jazz saxophonist Cannonball Adderly were in the audience. The rest is history as they say. Ms. Reid was a guest on my show and I'm so happy to have her in my book. Bless you, special lady.
