I know that we are all looking for that tire lasts forever and also performs amazing. Here is the problem. They don’t really exist. Tire companies can make a tire that performs really well, but doesn’t last very long, or they can make a tire that lasts forever but doesn’t perform really well. There are some tires that do a really good job and splitting the difference though, and this tire is one of those that might be that really good compromise for a lot of folks.
Karen (my wife), Kaylee, Konnor Kase, and Kenzie (the kids) thank you for using these links. It is one of the ways we are supporting our family right now.

Have used 2 here in socal and in Moab, my new go to. Its a great all around enduro tire, don't even notice what it is and isn't good at, its just there and performs well. It's good everywhere from sand, rock, and wet. Only issue for some is the 110 size that's only currently available. Here in socal the tire of choice is the M5B, I think the 33s competes with it well, except in deep sandy hill climbs.

When I sent you that video of my tire leaking from the valve stem, I did what the tubliss guy you had email me recommended. Let the pressure out of both, and add slime to the low pressure chamber, and bounce it around and spin it a whole bunch without air. Then add air to both, and I've had no issues since, and that was a tire that had been mounted with a rim lock, and ridden like that!

IRC have been a bit of a dark horse for excelllent tires for a while now, hands down the best all round tire I have ever used was an IRC M5B tire (which is actually a full on mud demon with monsterous knobs). It would find grip on everything - hardpack, rocks, loose rocks, mud, sand you name it. Lasted really well too and didn't chunk the knobs out, I was running it on a 125 so you really gotta light it up to get moving sometimes.

I always see the air leaks around the high pressure valve stem on the TubLiss. I used to fight with this (years ago). All I do now is mount the tire, inflate it to seat the bead. Mount it on the bike. Deflate the low pressure side. Add slime (I still use it, the stuff for ATV tires, since it isn't in a tube). Inflate the low pressure side again to about 30 psi. Now, spin the wheel on the bike by hand to spread the slime around inside. If you want, start the bike and put it in gear and spin the tire with the engine in first gear. Problem solved. Deflate to running pressure before the next ride, usually at the trailhead. I like using slime as it shows up well if you get a puncture on the trail and need to plug the tire. That fix takes less than 5 minutes in most cases. Been Tubliss since the product came out. Have it on 5 bikes in my stable. Love it.

None of the guys I've ridden with change tires more than once or twice in the course of a season, except for some moto guys. This 20 hour business must be great.

Interested in this tire but I've stuck with the ibex so far. My last ibex i put about 50-60 hours on it before i changed it and i wouldve kept riding it if it hadnt been for a race that was coming up. I wanted a fresh tire for the race. My ibex i have right now has 35 hours on it and i plan to put double that because i havent really noticed much of a traction loss. Ibex has a soft compound so it loses it edge fast but because of the softness it still grips on everything. No dirt tire in my opinion lasts longer than a trials tire but i dont like trials tires because they don't suit my riding style like the hybrids do.

I have ran the 1st gekkota. Amazing in the super nasty /slow stuff on my kdx220 and then onto my xr400. The knobs lasted soooooo much longer than I ever thought it would, even with some dual sport road riding. Down side , extremely soft side wall , cornering at 4 to 6psi was a wallowy affair. This tire looks to cure that and perhaps work even better in the rocks, if giving up a slight bit in the mud. Looks like another old favorite, the MT16 but now with the trials tire compound. Should be bad a$$ and hold up to some abuse better, once again the 1st was no slouch. Just dont spin it up , let it grab the traction like riding on a trials tire.

I’ve run tubliss with about 8 different tires and only had problems with the Dunlops because of the ridges on the inside. All tires will deep air and you will have to top off if it sits for a few days, but you should check tire pressure before every ride anyway. Slime or ride on sealant helps the seeping significantly.

2016KTM450 my 2019 te300i doesn’t have any of the issues of the 2018s like hard starting or stalling. It’s a tractor, has awesome power and feels super light.

@@johnnyreb86 good to know. That leaves a couple of huge things to be desired for me personally. I have ridden the 2019 KTM's and in my worthless opinion they are too lean, too big dimensionally, flame out too easily, AER forks suck, and I just don't have fun riding them. Maybe the Husky's are bit better. I have much more fun on a plain jane yz250.

Didn't last for me and not ideal for woods, rock and roots. Good straight line performance in the slop but side hill and corners were just ok. Works well in the slop but mine chunked up pretty early on. Shinko 525 has been a better tire IMO.
