    @@cygnia Sure, it won't be the most comprehensive thing in the world, but I'll share how I think each one is best utilized. The Reaper is my favorite of the three, and he can work in any build that you can think of. Vigor damage? Yes. Stress damage? Yes. Both? He makes that build! It may seem odd, but I think the Reaper is one of the best 3rd/4th position units in the entire game. The most important bit of the reaper is his wrath ability (upgraded) Scythe of Oblivion, which is a disgusting execute that has damage scaling from both missing health and sanity. With that in mind, I usually just spam his Curse ability, which you can upgrade for either damage or stress depending on what your build is, and interrupt stances until I can Scythe something. I also upgrade his mana return ability to give +15 spellpower, because that stacks with his unique item the Hourglass which gives +12 spellpower stacking 4 times any time you use a spell. It's important to note that the spellpower bonus from the Hourglass will be applied to the spell you are currently casting. The most powerful combo in the whole game that can and will kill anything is to have Hourglass+Essence of Mana on the Reaper, Finger of Death something, and then Scythe of Oblivion that thing. I recently used this to clear the final level in Eternal Harvest 4. :3 The Abomination is a bit more niche than the Reaper and really only excels in a Stress team. I really enjoy using him alongside the Mummy lazer beam+Dark Knight stance combo, since he can trigger the DK stance with his debuff even through Ward and he provides the much needed finisher to that composition with his executing Wrath ability. His Wrath ability is basically the stress version of the Ghoul's wrath ability, where he'll devour anything (non boss/construct) with less than 20% stress. There's an important difference between the Ghoul, though, and that is that the Abom's wrath ability deals stress damage. The ult will deal stress damage first and THEN check if the target is below the stress threshold. With the Fate spell (guarantee crit on minion's next attack) and lots of Stress damage, you can execute something from 50~60% sanity. It's a lot of fun. The Abom isn't the tankiest boi in the world, but he is far more of a frontliner than the Reaper. Similar to the Ghoul, I would highly recommend rushing his class item which starts him off with 1 stack of his devour buff. It doesn't provide stats like the Ghoul but it does give him some sustain. You can probably replace it later for more offence/defence, but it's really good early+mid game. The Werewolf is the newest, so I'm sure that I'm still missing a few things. That said, I very recently (last stream in fact) learned quite a bit about him. He the king of the glass cannons, only really works in a physical damage build as the hypercarry, and is incredibly Wrath-intensive. His most important abilities are Blood Moon (2 turn Wrath upgrade that also gives him +25% damage), the team buff upgrade that gives him 20% damage, his backline attack, and his Ambush. If possible, you want to maintain the Blood Moon buff at all times and just swat down the backline with Catch the Laggards (backline upgrade that only hits the 4th position) and then simply Ambush things down for every following turn, using the extra turn from Blood Moon to renew the team buff or bite somebody to remove their Armor/Resistance. I'm still not wholly convinced by Catch the Laggards and personally prefer Stymie, which allows you to hit the 3rd and 4th position instead of just the 4th, but I have been told that Catch the Laggards' improved damage is necessary on higher difficulties. As I'm currently going through EH5, I'm inclined to believe it. He is a good boi that can carry you to victory but he needs a lot of support; in fact, probably all of the support you can conjure. A build that the viewer who recommends Catch the Laggers has had great success with and that I'm trying to learn is Lost Soul/Vampire/Bone Golem/Werewolf, where the Vampire exists to Grand Auspex things to allow the WW to ignore Block+Ward and the Bone Golem and Lost Soul exist to Block+Ward the Werewolf almost exclusively. It's a weird build but it was showing good potential on the highest difficulty in the game, so there has to be something there. This turned into quite the novel, but I hope that it helps!

    I'm glad that it helped! The Dark Knight stance build is one of my favorite builds, and it is effective throughout the entire game. It does hit a minor obstacle at the very end of the DLC area, but there are plenty of ways around that. :3

    @@jakeapplegate6642 Constructs are always a pain as a pure Stress build, but the Mummy provides a decent back-up against them, if you can shuffle their bandaged butts to the third or fourth position. You can also make great use of the Banshee's Wrath ability to stun and damage them, if you can move her ethereal sass to one of the first two positions. There is actually a build built entirely around utilizing the Banshee's Wrath ability to permanently stunlock and murderize enemies that I personally like to call "Murder Banshee". It's pretty high-risk high-reward, given her frailty, but it is a lot of fun! I would recommend giving it a spin if you can crank up your Wrath generation and have a few spare Banshee parts laying around! (:

    Thank you for the kind words and suggestions! I was thinking about doing a guide for the Systems of Iratus' little Crypt, to familiarize people with their home away from home. Is that close to what you were requesting? As for the latter two, I was also thinking of doing that, mostly for what I consider to be the strongest composition but I can easily expand it to a more generalized idea. I will see what I can come up with! (=

    Mummy with a crows foot paired with a lost soul = death. The crows foot adds a sanity dot on enemies hit by curses. Add in the Lost Soul giving Blocks, Wards, and a -10% physical damage debuff triggers the "more sanity" effect on his beam. Add in a Dark Knight and skele in their stances.... Oh boy, clearing last level groups in under 5 rounds. And if there is a golem enemy? Mummy can switch to physical damage that crits like crazy. Pair with the skele, enemies melt.

    This... is absolutely ingenius! I'm afraid my familiarity with the items is still overall lacking, which is why I didn't mention many in this video, but I hadn't thought of using the LS to buff the Mummy's Wrath ability. Would I be correct in assuming that your Skeleton was in the first slot and that your Dark Knight's stance activated on the Lost Soul's buffs?

    Actually for the lost soul you do want to upgrade your attack since it directly increases your heal. The magic attack is negated using your magic ward ability. This way and after buffing yourself with your ult, you can easily do 50+ per heal

  • @Fableheim

    @Fableheim

    4 жыл бұрын

    It is true that upping your Attack increases your healing, but that is akin to sharpening a double-edged sword. It's probably worth it in the long run, but the spell becomes incredibly dangerous if things don't go as planned. High risk-high reward is kind of the LS's thing, so maybe it is correct anyway.

    May I ask which difficulty you are playing on? This sounds like a fun physical brawling build for Cakewalk/More Pain, but I would be a little concerned about the safety of the Head Hunter and Vampire on Good Always Wins and Eternal Harvest. The Dark Knight is a decent frontliner, but I think the Bone Golem would go a long way in supporting this team. The Bride is always reliable damage, but she needs a little bit of protection, I've found. Did you have any issues with the Hunter missing? I refuse to play one without the Mechanical Eye, lol.
