The basic economy simulation is a brilliant addition. It adds the element of efficient resource management. As somebody who enjoys mil-simming that adds a whole new level of realism.

@@grimreapers Well it is the grim reapers after all. Even in your mil sim campaigns there has to be some flair of chaos. LOL

A side note but in 1980 Iran was really hurting for money due to oil embargos so they were going to sell their F-14s to Canada for about half what they were worth. Canada was eager to make the deal because they needed to replace their aging F-101s and they could get a state of the art replacement for half price. The two countries were right about to sign the papers when the Iran/Iraq war broke out. Suddenly Iran needed those Tomcats and the deal fell through.

Cap - love these PvP missions with larger strategic goals and resource limits. The "cut and thrust" between two teams of human players is really interesting to watch. Also, I know you're doing a lot of shorter videos these days, but I really like these ~hour long videos. I workout to these videos and an hour is perfect length. As Baby would say, "MOAR... MOAR... MOAR!!!"

Roger, once I get my health back I'd love to start the longer missions back up again. Currently just struggle to get through them...

@@grimreapers Thanks for the reply, and totally understand. Been hearing you struggling a lot with the stomach issues recently, best wishes for a quick recovery soon! Health is most important, helps to know that's why the shorter format recently. Still enjoying the GR immensely.

was an awesome mission first time flying out the mig29 in combat and scored 6 tomcat kills for my one death pretty chuffed with that.

I'm only in the briefing at the moment, but I love the stores idea. That should limit the Phoenix spam.

57:40 - Cap, your landing angle was too shallow & the aircraft collected the runway lights. Air Wing Commander is going to rip you a new one !!

Yeh I was really struggling with health on this mission, couldn't really fly, I don't think I achieved anything except wasting valuable air frames.

Matrix was in full no-prisoners mode at the end and it was great

Great follow on mission of the campaign. Awesome taking out the two Tomcats in the beginning of the mission, then a couple more later. What a fun campaige to be in. I'm motivated to get my gear setup. BTW Cap, I joined the GR Patreon WOOT WOOT!! Next is to watch the tutorials on getting started in DCS. Video Valued by Valued Viewer - Fly Army! 🚁

Really well designed mission, good to see the fast air and helicopters working together so well and making a contribution with the battle. Fun to watch.

Keep up the amazing work as a valued viewer I value the time an effort you put into the craft.

A couple of really frustrating terrain moments for Cap. His first missile was intercepted by a powerline pole, and his last airframe was prevented from landing when he barely clipped some box thing at the beginning of the runway. Unlucky.

after nearly a year of watching grim reapers vid, ive worked it out now. Super Cap is actually Hong Kong Phooey and Simba and Matrix take turns to be Spot the Cat,. Great vids as always gang, thoroughly entertaining, im pretty sure Fly is Sergeant Flint in disguise

I love the warehousing!! It would be awsome to create a wargame allowing the different teams to have a team leader choose assets with a budget and having them face off.

Guys! Doesn’t the Mig-29 have an airbrake, deployable at touchdown, dumping Lift off the airframe, making the brakes work quicker & more efficiently?

Mig-29 can't have wheels down at same time as airbrake. Though I think it does have a parachute brake?

@@grimreapers that’s a bit of a handicap for a late 20th Century fighter. A ‘Chute is good for retardation once on the runway but the old F-15 & modern day Typhoons have a ventral unit mounted on the spine or closer to the tail fins but still along the Longitudinal axis of the airframe. Maybe Ukraine can retrofit the Mig-29 with one?

The prawn bots at the bottom are becoming more numerous.

CAP, I was wondering if GR has done any missions on the high mountain borders between India and China? It's a interesting situation and I wonder what a type of possible events might occur.

Cold War is best war! Really enjoy these missions. Limiting Fox 3's and PGM's makes for a more cinematic experience.

Great Mission indeed, quite realistic, pity about hitting the lights on landing... Smiles.... Landings should be second nature with the flight hours achieved, stomach ache isn't an excuse for anything... Great game, I'll give you guys 92%..... FLY TO ARCHIVE 97%...... Cheers...
