I’ve lived in Teheran from 1972 to 1978. I know that if you helicopter crash in the mountains North of Teheran you would not survive overnight as there are lions and tigers in the mountains. Additionally, the mountains are an exceptionally difficult terrain to survive in. Many people have driven cars right off the road & have plummeted 1,000 to 2,000 feet to their death. Their death is no less than the hand of God.

They may have signalled they need to attempt to land, but being as there is no signal they don’t know if it was successful or if, say that smacked into the side of the mountain and tumbled 2000ft down to the valley floor
