Israel knew the time, the operation was going to take place, but Iran managed to hit it's targets anyway. It also got to see, how the alliance flank works, when defending Israel. This give it more information on how the alliance would probably attack Iran too, in the future. Now information is what shapes strategies. This is the only reason, Iran is calling it a success. It has nothing to do with sending fire power to Israel and scaring them, symbolically, but everything to do with war maps and strategies. Iran now knows where those flanks are. Just like how the West sacrifices a few ships, so it can pinpoint the Houthis Operations in the Red Sea for air strikes afterwards and getting information of bases. Besides, it cost Israel 1.2 billion dollars. The bill from the US and UK side, still to come. Iran now knows something and will find ways how to increase this cost that Israel pays, to 20 times more. That's a financial disaster that will break Israel's bank or American tax payers money.

Iran spent a couple hundred million dollars. Their ballistic missiles run anywhere from one million to ten million dollars per ballistic missile. The US economy is 50x larger than Iran's. Just so you dont think I am full of shit. US GDP= 25.5 trillion. Iran GDP=500 billion. Pretty sure 1.2 billion means less to the US than a couple hundred million means to Iran. Perspective, *itch.
