Yeah! Judging from this video. I can say that note 9 didn't meet up with water resistant standards. As shown in the video section 11:00. The note 9 starts to malfunction while the iphone XS still works fine!

Abderrahim el Ommali Remember how samsung and other android phones troll at apple for not having a waterproof phone? Now that apple has done it. I wonder what is their reaction? The fact that note 9 malfunction after submerged at a 12 feet of water for 10 minutes shows how vulnerable is the note 9 against water damage. Meanwhile, the iphone xs still works fine after that submersion. Now I wonder about the other android device which has IP68 rating?

Think about it, who expects a phone to work after being that deep? Well done from Apple to manufacturing a phone capable of doing that, but don't forget the pen note 9s come with.

Aviation Mohamed the home button can wear out on iPhones pre 7, 8. An iPhone 6s is 4 years old. You could probably fix it yourself if you’re tech savvy. Go to ifixit.com they have parts for cheap and guides on how to fix them.

Can you do a showering test to the phone??? cause most likely people wont use it in the deep water but in rainy weather is quite common. That is the really waterproof I always wanted. (remember my last Iphone 6s was dead during a heavy shower)

Just bought an XS Max in the gold, your water test was very impressive. The iPhone certainly looks up to the task...

I remember back when the iPhone X came out that everybody was bitching because it didn't have IP68. One thing that I've learned from Apple over the years is that, they may take longer to deliver something like IP68 (or anything for that matter), but when it finally arrives, it's way better than anyone had hoped, as proved by the video ^^^.

I’m just thankful that it will not be damaged if we accidentally drop it in any kind of fluids. I am the most cautious person ever with whatever phone I have ever owned or electronic device whatsoever, and the year that I got my 7Plus, I spilled coffee for the first time ever in my life!!! I was in shock! And then remembered I can clean it right up. I was so lucky that year. Thanks for the video. I have swam w with just my 7&8+ but don’t push my luck ever. Thank you for the video! 😊

You know, now that I think about it... The iPhone XS Max isn't very behind the Note 9 like how most people say. It's got a bigger screen in a smaller form factor, higher-end materials (i.e. stainless steel body), an equally nice OLED screen, expensive Face ID hardware, a faster processor, 512 GB, 3D Touch, 120hz touch refresh rate, e-SIM, a higher water resistance rating, better speakers, and more... Of course, the Note 9 has more ram, expandable storage, an S-Pen, (imo) better OS, etc. But the iPhone used to be so behind their Samsng counterparts in all these aspects, but they've really improved VEEERY slowly, and have more or less caught up.

Usually you'll find that Android devices have better hardware specs such as more RAM and better processors because Android is a lot more hardware hungry than iOS is, so yes you have more RAM then you would on an iPhone, but you're more or less going to get the same performance on both devices. It just comes down to what os you prefer.

@@abelguerra6225 very true. Plus Apple is usually good about supporting older devices. Heck i think they can allow you to upgrade to iOS 12 up all the way back to the 5s i believe, and that phone was made how long ago? I definitely give Apple props for allowing that far of backwards compatibility.

My stepson dropped his old iPhone into a lake and it completely ruined the iPhone. I got my old iPhone 6 wet numerous times such as being caught in the rain for a short period of time but it never bothered it.

I have the iPhone XS MAX now and I don’t regret it whatsoever. If you’re going to buy it using a payment plan, go for the XS MAX. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Because with the drop tests they see if the breaking of the front screen messes with the lcd’s in the phone. They cant do that if the phone is water damaged and ruined
