You mentioned the premium build quality of the iPhone,and since my wife has the XS,and I got LG G8,I honestly can't find anything in the XS,which makes the LG inferior. Both are made with aluminium frame and glass sandwich. I had Galaxy S8+ and I still can't find any iPhone to be superior to it,when it comes to built quality.

I swear “the notches have been on for 2 years so the phone is looking a little dated” I’m honestly not sure how much change you can get in a all touch screen phone!! It’s not the days when you had the razors, and sidekicks and slider phones.. how many years can we honestly go with a new iPhone EVERY SINGLE YEAR.. they’ve created an expectation that honestly will be interesting the to see the next 10years.

I’m keeping my Xs max too for at least 2 more years. Wow thanks for the comments and thumbs up everyone. Everyone saying just replace the battery, I’ll do so depending on how much Apple charges me or if I can find a trusted third party phone repair to do it for cheaper.

I used to upgrade iPhones every year. But now I have started skipping years in between. I had the 8 plus (because I didn’t like how small the X was) and I skipped the 10S max. I upgraded to the 11 pro max from that 8 plus, and I am beyond blown away. I love this phone. I watch a ton of movies and TV on my device, so the battery not dying on me every three hours, is worth every single penny.

Galva Tron haha you moron. Samsung phones might be faster, and battery lasts longer at first. However, in the long term, it simply cannot beat iPhone. Sluggish as hell after couple years and stop getting updates. Not even mention the whole iOS experience is way better than Android. I owned S3, S6 active and S8, and i have a BS degree in computer field (just in case you think i dont know how to use Android)

I’m glad everyone is becoming more patience with the releases of the iPhones now. When I was in high school I just HAD to have the newest in the game and now that I’m a little older I realize I get more value for my money and experience when I actually feel like I have used my phone to its full potential. Honey the kids tried to murder me I didn’t, my very first smartphone was the iPhone 5S when in was a senior back in 2015.

I am so satisfied with my Xs Max ,i prefer to wait till the next year’s generation , because there’s no big difference between Xs Max and 11 pro Max.

I really value your comparison/review videos! I was serious considering but i got the CS Max last year lol I’m just being greedy. I’m not sure how folks read books for the calming app, but you have a great tone to your voice that’s soothing. If it’s not too weird, look into it.

Excellent honest review! Most reviews push the iPhone 11 Pro Max all the way. You’ve just shown that the extra camera doesn’t make that much of a difference. I did own the 11 Max Pro, but I sold it - the price doesn’t justify the incremental improvements. It just felt more like a status symbol. Got a 512GB Max for just over £600 Grade A, still a whole lot of money and like you’ve just said, the user experience is the same. 🥰

JSL Review I agree with something’s and I disagree with a few things especially when comes to the camera . There was very small comparisons and there’s a lot more on the cameras no just the regular wide , especially with deep fusion and night mode . I use these cameras for my iPhone photo page

Tbh I didn’t realize it was gone until I was told. And I can use my phone for a whole 24 hrs before it needs a charge, sometimes more. With 3D Touch gone it free up space allowing a bigger battery. But if my last phone was the XS Max I probably wouldn’t upgrade either.

Mr. IDGAF force touch haptic responses are way faster with my Xs Max. I tested this at the Apple store with the pro Max. My XS Max has 70% at the end of my day. So the extra battery life on the Pro don’t mean nothing to me.

I upgraded to an 11 Pro Max and it seems to have much more Bluetooth connectivity issues with Airpods and feels slower than the Xs Max due to the lack of 3D touch

My mom got the XS Max in June, and in September my dad got her the 11 Pro Max, I have the XS Max as well but i really wish `i could go to the 11 pro max, because i'd love the ultrawide camera, I seem to use it alot on my mom's phone. I also would love a battery improvement because the battery on my XS Max doesn't last me a long time, and I'm a power user when it comes to my phone. Awesome video, think you highlighted everything well, Love your content dude and keep it up. i’m watching this on my 7 plus. i’m really thinking about getting an iPhone XS Max because of the 3d touch and just the way it looks. it seems like a pretty classic phone and it seems nice.

I just put in an order for the 11 pro max. I know (not essential) but my 7plus has been a trooper for all the drops it took. Screen is not even cracked but it’s unresponsive to touch a lot so I figured this is a major upgrade for me.

I always like your voice makes the whole video experience just so much nicer. I love the clean look of the videos and of I always love your wallpapers)sorry probably not what you needed to hear). I have an iPhone XS I prefer the smaller size of the iPhone a little easier for me to handle in my hands. Where I live we have 2 year contracts(😩) which I wish was 1 year. So I’m not due for any upgrade until October 2020 which will put just in time for the new 2020 iPhone. But with money being a problem right now I may just upgrade to the 11 pro I think I will get better pricing on the older version then the new 2020 version. I have heard great things coming for 2020 iPhones I hope they are true but I have also heard they may be substantially higher in price 😩 so I’m hoping not. 11 Pro runs circles around my old XS! Battery is the main reason I upgraded and the camera was a bonus.

The 11 Pro Max is definitely worth it, that battery life is just amazing, it has everything I need. It is indeed expensive, especially here in Mexico ($1635 dollars) but since I know it’ll last for a long time and still have more than enough performance, it is worth it to me.

Great review! I just upgraded from the XS Max to the Pro Max and I’ve got 0 regrets! I got the XS Max at launch last year and oh man! I loved it! But over time, the phone could not hold a charge. It has a 97% battery health, but would be at 60-50% by the end of the day with light usage, ie: responding to text messages and internet browsing. I was constantly on a charger, which was very inconvenient for me. The camera was also spotty, at least for me. The stock camera app was incredible, I could never complain about that. But once opening up an app, like Instagram and especially snapchat, the camera/video features started to become distorted and blurred. It got to a point where I was just using my stock camera app for everything and just uploading the photos/videos after the fact. Kind of rendered the apps I wanted to use pointless. The camera and extended battery life alone were convincing enough to make me switch with no hesitation. I’m looking forward to seeing what this phone can do.

I upgraded from a XS Max to an 11 Pro Max. Mainly because I’m an Apple nerd but the new camera is spectacular. As someone who takes a lot of photos it’s definitely nice to have the ultra wide angle and night mode. Can’t wait to see what Apple does later this year with their new phones.

I upgraded to the 11 Pro Max from the Xs Max, and I agree with everything you said. The Xs Max is a great phone, but the improvements aren’t really a monumental difference. The main features that have justified the upgrade were the battery life, wide angle camera and ESPECIALLY night mode. My previous pixel blew away the iPhone with night photos, but now the iPhone stepped back into the game with night mode. Great video, and very accurate review between the two! 🍻

Watching this on my XS Max, couldn’t have been any happier.

Nice review. I am amongst the folks that upgraded to to an iPhone Xs Max last year. After seeing the Pro Max, I was not even tempted in the least to get a Pro. It's a great device, but I feel more than confident rocking my Xs Max for another year. I'll see what they bring to the table in 2020, but it they don't do this huge overhaul I may hold out for an additional year even.

Sam Dixon I loved my iphone 7+ and than it got stolen. Had to use a samsung galaxy 8 for a min hated it. Just got an iphone xs max and I am full on in love. It took a min to get used to no home button. I would say it is worth the upgrade

I got the 11Pro Max and returned it today and went back to my XR . A few camera tricks if that's your cup of tea other than that same old same. Its a just an iphone the whole "Pro" thing is a scam and a big joke, Pros use DSLR cameras etc. its an iPhone nothing more. Back in my Samsung Days my Note 3 did 4 K video and back in my LG days my V20 had wide-angle and DAC stereo. My old LG even had an amazing manual camera mode. I'm back on my XR now and will hold tight here until the battery no longer holds a charge.

CEZA ALANINDA The XRs display is better than that S4 though, it’s better than most 1080p panels actually. There’s much more to a display than just resolution. Hit the books rookie.

Good review, though like most comments here I’m okay with my XS Max. I think I can wait until  stops supporting it with their iOS updates which should be a while.

I have the Xs Max and I love it, but I was thinking about upgrading to the 11 Pro Max. Thanks for your video so now I’m keeping my Xs Max and waiting to see what Apple brings later this year.

I’ve upgraded iPhones every year since the 3G and this is the first year I have justified not spending just to upgrade my camera and battery which are great on the XS Max by the way. Definitely looking to upgrade my phone in September though...

I’m keeping my iPhone 11 Pro Max till next 2 years

been a year.....u still got the xs max?

We both had/have the Xs Max and were thrilled with the photography while on a recent trip to Ireland. Point and shoot from a moving bus yet the photos were as if they’d been posed from a stationary platform. I upgraded to the 11 Pro Max because were on the Upgrade payment plan and ONLY because the monthly charge was the same. Wife will be upgrading when eligible. As a non-power, older retired person, the noticeable difference was the camera. The 11Pro Max camera has MORE features and a slip of the finger brings up zoom options (unlike the Xs Max) that inhibits the quick taking of the picture. I find with the 11 Pro Max, one should study and familiarize themselves with the camera before needing to use it. It does have greater options, but is not as immediately intuitive as point and shoot as previous versions. Again, our rationale for upgrading was solely on the fact that the monthly cost was the same. We were very pleased with the camera on the Xs Max. If one were paying for a new phone, my suggestion would be as yours was. Unless you’re a high photo user (why don’t you have a good digital camera?.), then wait for a substantive device upgrade., considering you already have the excellent Xs Max.

Why do you do that exactly? iPhones are built to last as long as possible. I used my SE from 2016 to just a couple weeks ago when I got a XS. Even my old iPhone 5 from 2012 running iOS 10 is perfectly fine for basic functions like calls, texts and some light social media. I don’t get why people upgrade iPhones every year.

Hi. I would just like to ask, do you prefer Google apps even on iPhones? And why do you prefer it over stock apps? Thank you. I want to learn from you.

I had a 6s plus and I upgraded today and I DO NOT regret it. I did have a hard time deciding on which phone to get but I ended up choosing the 11 because I don’t like upgrading phones every year or two
