Good video thanks! I would say disconnect battery first before even unplugging screen plugs. This is to ensure no short circuit can occur. Also be very careful suing metal tweezers around the microphone

Hi, can we test the new flex just by connecting in the board and without actually removing the original flex? So we know the problem is with the old flex!

Yes you can, simply disconnect the charging port cable and battery connector cable, Then connect the new charging cable and the battery plug. Connect the charger and test your new flex. check the video below, this is on XS Max kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJ6Jq8-gYZmbYtI.html

can a iphone 11 spare phone charger port be used for an iphone xr?

not compatible
I replaced charging port and battery. I heated phone by placing a cloth on a frypan and heating over low heat. I would recommend using good quality tools, rather than the cheap ones, (I used), included with the replacement parts. Keep track of the screws; they are tiny and all different. Overall the repair was a success but Face ID doesn't work anymore.

How did you remove the screw near the one sim tray at 3:28 its not a philips head and you removed it with a philips???? Im also looking at it right now and its NOT A PHILIP SCREW ITS JUST A CIRCLE HEAD!!!!!!!
