The iPhone XS was the last S iPhone ever. After that, Apple just started only releasing iPhones with a new number that’s it but keeping the previous year design.

Apple did that because they realized that they can sell more if if they name it a new number although there's not many differences...They sold less of the 'S' phones because people didn't think they were much different to the regular phones.

Using the xs since 2018 dec and just got the 13 mini and have to say that the 13 mini is better in all aspects and the size is perfect 🙌🏻

@@katkat223 yea thats pretty much the sweet spot. They all have their benefits and drawbacks but watching media is definitely more awesome on a large screen

The iPhone 7, 7 Plus , X, Xs, and Xs Max are still my favorite iPhone designs.

@@BaconFaceMcGee I know, right!? 3D Touch was SO much smoother and more responsive than the current Haptic Touch! I’m sometimes frustrated by my phone not consistently responding to Haptic Touch. Especially when I know how well 3D Touch worked! Oh well. 😥

I wound up going with the XS in 2022. Mainly for the compact size, OLED screen, 3D touch, premium build quality and decent price. I considered the iPhone X but on Swappa both are practically identical in price. So to me, it made more sense to go with the better processor, better cameras and longer support. Wound up getting the XS for $317 and is supposed to be in mint condition. I'm hoping when I get it that it's like new especially on the battery health.

I was considering the XS from an android solely because of iOS but a friend has offered a X for £150, so that's where I've decided to go, still very happy.

The xs is better than the x in one main spot and that’s the chip. Having the a12 over the a11 is big because the first 7nm apple chip was the a12 . It allowed apple to add an extra gpu core and really turn up the machine leaning performance (the a12 is so much better at machine learning it’s really not even close) not to mention superior efficiency of the a12 over a11

I recently switched from a Xs Max to an iPhone 13 Pro Max just because my moms old iPhone broke down. If not that, I would have still kept my Xs Max for at least another year or two. Amazing phone!!

Both are great phones,The Xs though has better performance but the X has better battery in my experience.However I would NOT pick up any of them without considering that apple has cut some features on both of them,in my opinion I would wait for a new phone unless needed,they are still amazing phones though if you don’t care about all the new features.Otherwise these both phones are so premium,mine still feels so new and amazing!!!!!🔥🔥🔥!

I feel when you compare the 5s to 5 or 6s to 6, there were so many meaningful upgrades to power and camera. Xs to X are very similar, with the A12 having very minimal or meaningful improvements to the A11, npu aside. 30 mins better official battery life is negligible in my opinion and the Xs overall was a very underwhelming upgrade. I get the S models are not meant for year-to-year buyers but purely from a tech perspective, the real meaningful upgrades came with the 11 Pro

@@bhavdeeprehal8827 Agreed in some sense,However I would Say the A12 actually had a pretty big difference to the A11,Like it just runs things so much better and faster and and that is actually noticeable,But not only that but even so many features are only supported on the A12,So the A12 was definitely a great improvement. However everything else I agree there was no improvement,honestly I felt like it was a downgrade in both battery and camera,Battery life actually is a lot less in real life compared to the X and the camera is to Overprocessed compared to the X or 11 series.

@@evanc8689 Yes I have used both a X and a Xs-For me the X camera was better-Xs is way to over processed!.The X has the right balance of colours!.Also battery life is worse on the Xs-a the X even has a physically larger battery!.

when you start the video, the battery was 92% after. 10 minuets 88%. so, If drains 4% in 10 minutes, it uses 100% in 250 minutes, that means the battery will only last for 4 hours.

still great phone maybe next 2-3 years

i like the xs when it comes to the size , again iphones depends on your needs and perspective

I just upgraded from an XS Max I still liked my phone very much. Worked just fine.

I had the a71, a72, went with the iphone 12 pro max… got someone to buy it cash.. clear my dept… bought a cheap iphone XS second hand.. coming from the 12 pro max, it feels actually better, more compact in the hand. Feels actually more Premium.. what software experience is considered the same.. exactly the same. Samsung was lagging when opening up the camera, taking a quick shot of a sunset while driving, fast focus, where the iphone 6s even excelled with that, the A71 could not even do.

One thing I’ll say about the iPhone barely changing design language is that you can spend a minimum and still at least feel up to date with the almost same look and up to date software 😂 in a way that really is an advantage,cause when companies just straight up change the whole design every year,things feel dated fast. Back when I had a galaxy S8+,seeing the S10’s totally different design and knowing my phone was fresh out of OS updates definitely made me feel like they left me in the dust 😂

I’m thinking of buying the 13 Pro but it’s weird paying 1k for a new phone and feeling like there’s gonna be a big downgrade in my actual day to day use (typing, using the cursor/Notes/home screen/etc) Said this in a lot of comments but 3D Touch really was that WOW factor in iPhones for a few years. It felt unreal for people when they first experienced it. No other brand replicated it to this day

Apple dismisses the iPhone X a lot. If they want, they can even give the new camera interface of the iPhone XS to the iPhone 6S. It's unfair that the iPhone X still uses the old iOS 11 camera interface. There is not as much hardware difference between the iPhone X and XS as between a 6 and 6S. I don't understand why they give some features to XS and above though.

I love the xs still one of the best design phones IMO I remember someone wanted to trade me the 12P for it but unfortunately I lost mines a few weeks ago SMH was thinking about getting another one but decided to go with one of my other apple fave phones The 11P MAX great design and plus it has better battery life than the xs

The iPhone Xs is a great device,to get as a budget iPhone. The only thing to watch is the battery life. Mine came at 78% so I will go to apple store and get it replaced

The problem with my mom’s XS is it looks more like an LCD screen but it’s still a real iPhone

Id say go for xs because iphone x dosent support read text on camera. And also copy paste text feature

I have 2 opinions; I would go for the X because of the OLED screen and camera. For the XR, I'll choose it for the screen size, bigger battery life and slightly more updates.

I would think if you are buying either of these used, spend the money to get a battery replacement. My XR battery degraded quite a bit, and I opted to upgrade rather than replace the battery.

I'm planning to buy I phone X or Xs.... but 11 amazes me T.T

Well if the 10 has the same chip as my iPhone 8 then I’ll be just fine for a couple more years. Plus I don’t have to wait for 15.4 to need software for face unlock with a mask I have a fingerprint scanner ;-) Just got a new Apple certified battery installed in my 8 and I found a brand new $80 OtterBox defender for only $20 in stormy peaks blue because some guy’s wife bought the wrong case lol. I’m going the long haul with this 8 because in Canada I don’t feel like blowing $1200 on a brand new iPhone 13 or $999 on an iPhone 13 mini, especially since my eight is still very fast. XS is very rare for sale used. I hardly ever see them for sale here I think because everyone just went for the X the year before.

My iPhone 12 Pro Max is still at 100% battery health and I’ve had this since it came out. So over a year. Also I’m a heavy user but I never have it charging and using at same time and I also keep battery between 20% and 80% and only charge to 100% if I really need to. They also say after 500 charge cycles it should be at 80% battery health but that also depends on how you treat yre battery I believe.

See if there are any apps that are constantly trying to run in the background. These are the real parasites for your battery, that are killing its health.
