IPs have light in the back that shines through and has different color filters, so to make black, it has to block the light. OLED screens have self lit pixels and so they just simply turn off

Local Dimming is very good,So close to oled and you tend to find them on premium Tvs that out pace a OLED in every way apart from a QD-OLED.

You get halo around bright objects, and the local dimming has lag so on a computer if you move your mouse for example over a black background you will have a halo around it and if you move it fast it will leave trail behind it

I use the amoled screen i can spot the difference lol. The dark is so good on oled. I have to buy the led monitors.

I just got to experience working with a oled laptop and a secondary lcd screen. Both for me look fine, has a designer i think the only thing i noticed is that lcd screens have a cold tint compared to oled that have a warmer tint. I would say in the end it depends of preference, but both are actually fine

Meanwhile us Samsung users... We've had Amoled screens (Samsung's version of Oled) since the Galaxy s2 in 2010 lol

Bros, after using a smartphone IPS for two years, switched to OLED and I prefer IPS. Nothing extraordinary; from my perspective, the battery isn't something extraordinary either (which vary from smartphone, my old IPS was a entry level, my OLED now is a Pixel 6a.

AMOLED is the new version of OLED. i know why they went to OLED because it don't last as long as the other screens. OLED is better for a TV. IPS is best for color correction. OLED is best for consuming media.

Indeed, in my opinion the colors on the IPS LCD look more neutral and I do like that. I think the white balans is better on LCD. It is real white and on OLED it is a tad yellow.

@@KaystFPS is not sampling rate, is refresh rate. 120hz just mean 120 cycle/second. respond time is letancy between the input and the output. but both can improve reaction time.

@@KaystFPS IPS the high stuff can deliver 1ms of respond time, oled in other hand can do it 10 times quicker with 0.1ms. but there is display that have better respond time than that, and that display is CRT, yes the big box one used on tv and monitor alike during 2k era. have a respond time 0.01ms, with just 480i and 50hz.

I get amoled and when I compare it to my lcd it's too saturated I get eye strain all the time because of it

This is because phones are more likely to be constantly be turned on and off - most people don't have their phone screen on for multiple hours repeatedly, unless watching a movie or playing a game. However, many people work for multiple hours on computer, there's more risk of burn in for OLED monitor/TV.

It depends. If your phone is a burner android phone (priced around 100-200 usd) then good luck seeing the differences.

My screen is LCD and I can clearly see the difference.

The OLED has greater potential but because of the burned pixels it is somewhat overshadowed.

Ips lcd ran 4yrs until bulging battery, oled screen in another phone last 1 yr until ugly green lines appeared.😂😂😂

Oled is just better and I have an ips phone currently. my older 2015 oled phone 'i used it till i got this phone less than a month ago' does not have any 'ugly green lines' or burn in at all so you were sadly misinformed. I especially miss the true black tho,it help in 16:9 videos on 20:9 something screen so that you wont see between black-white bars.

на практике скажу: глаза от олед болят через 30 секунд на полной яркости из-за ШИМа, черный цвет более естественный на олед, но белый больше уходит в оттенки желто-розового, олед дороже в обслуживании и выгорает. На IPS цвета не такие яркие, но поверьте, ваши глазеньки не будут уставать долгое время, IPS дешевле, разница в цветах на практике вообще ничего не меняет, пока не сравнишь с олед лицом к лицу. Вывод: IPS получше

It is obvious the color purity is better on the oled. Whites in general are more pleasing. This is because oleds in smartphones use pure emitters. Unless the lcd has quantum dots the backlight will consist of leds with blue emitters doped with a yellow phosphor to make the white light that eventually goes through color filters. There is no clean distinction between the red and green if you look at a spectral power distribution reading of a non qled lcd. Since oleds in phones use emitters the colors in general will appear more accurate and pleasing and so will the spectral power distribution readings.

El color blanco depende de la calibración que tenga tu panel además recuerda que puedes calibrar los colores de la misma en los ajustes, yo lo puse en el modo vívido la pantalla y los blancos son reales y cuando te acostumbras al panel el dolor en los ojos desaparece, me pasó lo mismo en la primera semana con mi primer celular oled
