Missed one little way to open the camera! Can also swipe right on the lock screen, I find it's slightly easier to do fast, when I'm pre occupied.

Yeahs great tip, I didn’t know that one
I would like to mention, have learned from you the camera manual settings like iso, and shutter speed and this in-depth knowledge defined my career overall. Very grateful to you! Love from India.
Thank you for doing such a fantastic review! I just got a new iPhone 13 pro after 5 years of Samsung. I really appreciated all the info you provided. Excellent teaching.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Tony! I hadn’t taken the time to discover all the aspects of the camera on my phone. Such amazing technology that most people don’t realize they have in their pockets! All the best to you and your family for 2023! Cheers from Montreal, Canada!
Thank you Tony for putting all of those nice camera/photo features together for an iPhone!
Fantastic tutorial. Thanks. FYI: in regards to iPhones being waterproof for 30 minutes, one evening while getting out of a dingy in the BVIs, I drop my iPhone 11 in 1 meter of water. Fortunately, I retrieved the phone in the morning and after 13 hours of being in saltwater, INCREDIBLY the phone lit up and worked with no issue. I was shocked. So glad I didn’t have to buy another one.
Amazing video, tnx so much for that
Trank you sooo much for all this information !
Fantastic video! Thanks.

Totally agree! I use several different cameras for different purposes and the iPhone is my invisible weatherproof multi-tool.
Thanks for some great 📷 tips!
Your video yesterday was very very useful and in the last day I have practiced the things you showed in it. I have been using iPhone's top units for years and your video is the best most useful one I have ever seen. Just the simple stuff like being able to move some of the settings touching and moving the middle of the iPhone screen and not only the very bottom of the screen are very helpful. Thanks again. My iPhone still does not replace my regular cameras though.
Great video. Took me a long time stopping and rewatching to try and get most of the information.
EXACTLY THIS video what i was needed! Thank You!
Great video! Thanks so much for all of the new info I learned while watching!

Thanks again, Tony...............well done as usual.
Terrific. Very helpful. Thanks!

Wow, this was such a great video. So much really really good information. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make such a helpful and frankly kind of exciting video. I can’t wait to try out some of these tips. Excellent!
This is seriously AMAZING thank you
This tutorial is the most informative one I have come across ❤
Wow Tony! Great video! Thanks
This is one of the most information-dense videos I've seen. Thanks.
interesting video..very helpful
Tony Thank you I've learnt so much in this video and applied it to my android phone Many thanks
It’s deep and the best tutorial for the first time iPhone photographers. Thank you for the in-depth session.
Great one 👌 👍
Very helpful
Thank you for very informative video. Now I can can utilize my iPhone camera to the fullest. Been following your channel for some time. Planning on buying a camera soon, leaning towards Sony a7IV. Greetings from Iceland.
you're the man Tony
Thanks Tony. It seems dslr and all big cameras gear is "past". I decided to keep my old film camera RB, just for my pleasure working in darkroom, but for all other photographing, cellphone as small and multifunction device is just perfect. I saw framed photography at the wall, size 30x40 cm, and i was stanning with quality. So you can easily print out photography you like and frame it.
I’m an old guy, and been doing my photography hobby for let’s say about 50 years. And still have several systems…and a hell lot’s of lenses, especially vintage ones which I use on any system. Right now, mostly on Sony FF and MFT. All this rubbish is a complete different story, though.. A year ago I bought myself an IPhone 12 Pro Max. This tiny instrument amazed me to be an (almost) fully usable photography-tool in everyday photowalking. I always shoot Pro Raw, but maybe I shouldn’t… Must admit, Tony, I learned a lot watching your video. As always you do an excellent job, even about…just IPhone-shooting. Which definitely is not what it was only 3 or 4 years ago. My favorite KZread channel neve fail, even though you’re kind of controversial from time to time. That’s way I’m so excited about the two of You, guys!
Is there anyway that I could manually set the focus to infinity so that I could shot through screens? Thank you very much!
Great video. Please do one for the latest Sony and Samsung camera phones. Thanks.
Hey tony great video. I was wondering what would you suggest me for a good camera phone for normal usage to capture good images for my travel and bit of vlogging. I have a one plus 7t and it is a good one but i need to update the camera system on it. Would you recommend me Samsung s22 plus or iPhone 13 pro or google pixel 6pro?
I think I'm going to take a leap into iPhone photography. Wow you have explained so much........I have so much to discover, thank you !
I downloaded it Tony. Fantastic content. For FREE !!!!
Lol I never thought you do a demonstration on I phone camera may be I’m still old school times are charging have to change with it Thank you love your podcast
Awesome and helpful video 🎉🎉🎉 learned some new things of my iPhone 13 Pro :)
Wowwie.... I have the watch as well as the phone and didn't know the watch had the app. Many thanks.
Thank you very much, I have 11 pro, did not know how good it is.
Great video, thanks Tony. Can you shed any light on the claimed optical zoom on the iPhone 13 pro? I have come across numerous sources that claim that the telephoto lens has an optical zoom extending to 15x in photo mode, or 9x in video mode, but not supported in some of the other modes. This makes me think it is digital, but the sources, including Apple, insist it is optical. This also gets a little confusing in the macro mode as the phone likes to jump between the different lenses messing up the composition.

What’s your source for this? Here’s all I see from Apple: “6x optical zoom range. Digital zoom up to 15x”
thanks very good I never knew there was so much I could do on my Iphone
Brilliant! Outstanding instructional video. 👍

What a ride. I am halfway and I need a pause. I needed this but I didn't know it. Don't worry, I'll come back after the pause. I don't want to miss something.
Thanks Tony!
Very useful! Was wondering when you would get around to something more comprehensive regarding phones. I know you have done pieces (and a few reviews) here and there, but noting this useful...bravo!!! My hope is you will continue to review some more of the more popular phones (Samsung, Google Pixel) being as comprehensive with accessories, apps, editing, and such. Also, wondering if you have given any thought to having a secondary phone (perhaps doing a survey or more recent used phones) dedicated to photography/video. Also, I would love to see possibilities and potential of getting large prints out of a phone & compared to a more conventional camera. Techniques and tips would be very useful. I can think of other things, but being able to use your phone as a true substitute to a more conventional camera, with more specific applied techniques would be/is/will be very, very useful. Thanks
Awesome
Fantastic, i have learn a lot new things, even after having Iphone for 5 years
That was a lot of work to make this video for sure! Nice job Tony
Tony, am not an iPhone user (yet) ... sooooo ... can the iPhone 13/13 Pro do exposure bracketing for photos? For instance: can it do ... say ... 3 or 5 photos in 2 stops or 3 stops increments? Thanks, Chuck (NE Florida) : +)
Thanks for this wonderful tutorial ❤😂😂😂😅
jeez finally I know how the burst mode works now!
Nice!!!!!
Hello and thank you for the interesting video. How to pause while recording video. Not while reading. Thanks again. Ron
The Live Photo tip to simulate a long exposure was 👍🏼
Thanks....
Hey Tony, great video, but the Audio sounds a little not good sometimes (like overdrive)
This, together with your last video comparing the iPhone 13 Pro with a camera inspired me to finally get the iPhone, but I'm having some problems on sharpness and definition even from RAW files - nothing close to what I get from my Nikon Z6 ii. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
@TonyAndChelsea
2 жыл бұрын
You probably don't need the raw files - let the iPhone's computational photography do it's work and start with the HEIC files (which have much more information in them than a traditional JPG). Whether the quality matches your Z6 II will depend on the lens you're using and the situation.
Hi Tony I am your fan from Chennai, India. Great teacher.
This is a really comprehensive tutorial and I really didn't realize just what it could do (the iPhone). This the video equivalent of the O'Reilly series of manuals for Mac, the one that should have come in the box. Thanks. I have now subscribed.
I use the app Halide more than the standard camera app. I feel I get better pics from Halide.
The besst i Phone tutorial in world.
I was at Kent State University yesterday for the 52 May 4th commemoration and there was a journalist with a news agency using her iPhone mounted a tripod to record the story. So yes, journalists are using phones to do stories. She far preferred her phone to the normal gear for all the reasons you have stated prior.
What’s your opinion about lens protectors?
3 things I want Apple to have on their iPhone 15 series next year, 1. Pause button on video camera , 2. Number row on top row of keyboard , 3. 5 App Row Option on Screen.
BTW, you can shoot a burst with the A1, protect the picture you want to keep and delete the sequence
With Pano mode, if you go the opposite direction from your pan, it stops taking the photo. So you don't have to hit the button at the end. Thanks for the tip on the DNG files on how to enable, that and the rest was super helpful.
Thanks for this real camera tutorial! . . . . i dont use an iphone tho.
Do phone cameras such as iPhone have actual eye AF? It feels like a must-have feature for cameras but smartphones don't have it, as far as I can tell on Google?
Packed knowhow. Even for me as a pro there was something new.
I love that the dog's name is Pixel.
Please do one for Samsung s22 ultra too, it has good lens for ASTRO

I thought I'd learned everything about my iphone . Uh, nope ... maybe 55%. Great video.
We’re you using a camera to record this video? It seemed unusually wide as well as absolutely no separation from the background.

Canon R3.
Tony, you're making me want to buy an iPhone 🤣.
Thanks for this I really can’t afford better camera gear at the moment.
