    This is amazing to watch. I’ve tried to repair iPhone boards like this myself…they are so tightly packaged that I’m unsoldering crap everywhere when I put heat to the board. You are truly a master of your art!

    The smile you give at the end of a successful repair is worth the price of admission Just one question, when you replace a cap or other component, how do you know what value to replace it with?

  • @QuickishFM

    @QuickishFM

    2 жыл бұрын

    usually if they have schematics then it'll say on the schematics, but otherwise, maybe its just a guess. They can replace it with any cap in that size which supports the voltage of that rail, or higher. Then there's a short range of capacitances available (that can fit in the specific SMD form factor at the certain voltage) so they just pick one and use it, I guess.

    Hi dear friend. i told you before that i am a begnner repair man and learn and get a lot expirence of your records so i can say you are one of the best teacher for me! but some point i need to knowfor example i have to know when you are removing an. ic or a lcd connector with about 30 or 40 pins and inatall the ñew ones again how much temprature should be use on heater also the degree of Air in the diffrent sitution or codition that you just use but not remainder so is it possible to remind that only once during repairing. i will be very thankful. Your sincerely: Langroudi from Iran.

    Excellent job as always mr Alex💯👍🏻....can i ask a quick question plz?....how many voltage and Amps do the DC power supply need to set at to inject voltage on the iphone or any Android smartphone motherboard plz?

  • @QuickishFM

    @QuickishFM

    2 жыл бұрын

    use at most the voltage that the rail actually supplies. so, for a 3v3 rail (for example) supply 3 volts. That's because, while the shorted cap will drain the voltage, at a high current you might burn the component (or pcb track) that is shorted, and suddenly the short wont be there on the rail again (cause the shorted cap is off). Then, everything else in the rail will be powered by your voltage injector, so you don't want to blow them up with a high voltage. Set the amps to something like 1 amp to start, and if you cant see anything getting hot, increase it slowly. I increase it in 500mA increments until I see something heat up.
