When the 6S Plus was new, it was the battery champ. I had no problem forgetting my charger at home when I went to work. When I had the GS8 and forgot my charger, I knew I would not be on youtube that night or games. (3rd shift security)

I liked this video, but keep in mind that the older devices have an older battery with more cycles on them. So the newer 8 Plus should last longer because it’s the youngest battery

Its interesting looking at these tests in hindsight because it tells us how much more demanding modern iOS is to run vs when the phones came out. Its crazy to think a 13 Pro Max in tests where these phones see 20% worse battery life than this video can hit 11-12 hours use

Thanks for the great comparison shame I just bought the iPhone 6s Plus on an upgrade over a month ago if I knew the 6s Plus is not very good on battery life I should have bought the 7 or 8 Plus. Having said that at the moment coz my 6s plus is still practically new the battery life is quite good for now & it was a lot cheaper than the 7 or 8 plus & I still can listen to my music with my BOSE headphones connected to the headphone jack. Still the 7 or 8 Plus a lot better ok thanks I always watch your reviews they're great peace.

I used to have an iPhone 6s back in 2015 it lasted over 5 hours and in 2017 it lasted nearly 3 hours with the battery replaced.

You should do it again but with Replaced Batteries. I changed my 6s battery and it has changed the performance by a lot, it does feel different and the battery lasts 6hours on screen time just for regular usage. -Great Videos like always

David Guzman same like my iphone 6 plus My battery was swallowed before, it lasts only 2hrs screen time from 100-0 it had bad performace too. And then i replaced the battery. It get alot better with 6h30m screen time and better performance

Hey Nick, Thanks for a great video i really enjoyed that for a number of reasons. 1st of all im new to iPhone im using iPhone7 plus. All my life ive been that Android fanboy. Wow the endurance of iphone is unreal. I didn't realize just how smooth the iOS is. Dont get my wrong Android is great but thats it. I was originally going to get the iPhone6 plus but i would have payed (contack) the same price as the 7 plus. So here i am using the 7plus which i absolutely love.

HI, Well its funny you say that, The pixel was my first option but as i've been with my provider for over 13 years i was due a 40% discount but for some reason Vodafone doesn't stock Pixel why i don't know? They said its something to do with units (Its long winded story) I've had bad customer experience with Samsung and promised myself never to use them again which i'm gonna keep my word. So i thought lets do something out of the ordinary and use Apple's iPhone. I've never used one on a contract so here i am. And to be honest day by day i'm loving it more so. My only 1 complaint which i hate is Siri. Part from that i'm more then happy with my 7 plus yet black. I've still got the plastic on the back of my phone.

I wish someone would do a standby battery test between iPhone and Android. I charged my new iPhone 7 Plus 2 days ago and it still has 62% battery left! I switched back from a brief time with a Huawei Mate 10 pro. The Huawei would last 2 days whether I used it heavily or not. I am a light user so iPhone is by far the best choice for me.

CyberDasherXD yes it does flicker in slo-mo video but only in low lighting or room lighting.......my s8 also flickers at 240 fps in those conditions

And I thought I was having trouble with my 6s plus' battery.

it's not battery throttling, its thermal throttling where it slows down to keep itself from melting

On iphone 7 plus you enable- geolocation service they eat battery well. So the test is not very accurate

I did make that mistake, NO sim in all the devices means it doesn't matter much anyway because Airplane mode disables cellular which there is no cellular in the device anyway :)

Apple is throttling performance on low battery for sure as the results in Geekbench for 7 Plus on full performance should be like about Single/Multi-Core: 3500/6000 and if it’s significantly lower than it’s a result of decreased performance due to low energy. Additionally we have to consider that a battery has got still 100% of max capacity. I got 95% (so 5% of wearing) just after maybe 8 months of having iPhone 7 Plus. Now on iOS12 I see that in the best case it can go with screen on for about 6 hrs.
