I upgraded from a 5c to a 6s and love it! However I wouldn't recommended upgrading to a 6s if you own a 6

I'd recommend upgrading from 6, 6s is much better, there's really a speed difference. And there isn't any significant difference between 5s and 6 other than display.

+Brian P i doubt u can tell any difference between 5s & 6s in terms of speed. even fingerprint scanner on my 5s is exactly as fast as 6s's. tried it myself

One of the best things I like about your reviews is, you into more detail than most .Your reviews are quite unique. You tend look at bits the other reviewers seem to lazy to look at. Keep up the good work.

If audience interest justifies it, I'd like to see a video for one of the new Lumia Windows 10 phones when they become available.

The most informative video I've seen great review

I purchased the 6s Plus 128Gb in November 2015. This was my first iPhone and I am very happy with the phone. The lightning fast unlock finger recognition is great, but yes it does make reading some notifications difficult. The slow-mo video and general image quality it good. But , for stills at least, my 2-and-a-half-years-old Nokia 1020 is still the best stills camera on a phone. This is a good review of the iPhone with lots of useful detail. Gets a thumbs up from me.

I feel like I was slightly oversold on how fast TouchID 2 is by reviews, it's really fast, but if I just click it quickly to check the notifications I don't get thrown into springboard 90% of the time. I have to consciously take a moment longer and modify my finger movement for it to unlock in a fast click.

The A8 isn't the new hotness anymore, but it's still very much a flagship SoC - so it's a bit of a letdown to see iOS already lagging on it. Sometimes in instances that don't even seem RAM bound, like just going through the iOS settings. With all the power in the A8 it seems like Apple only ever optimizes for the newest SoC out. Let alone what they do for the poor old A5 and A6. I know someone may come along and say Android phones of the A5-A6 timeframe may not even be getting updates, but still, the competition dropping the ball even harder doesn't excuse this (plus some phones from that time do still get updates - and they tend to make them faster, not slower)

Glad you mentioned the lackluster design and low screen to body ratio. I'm tired of seeing Apple get a free pass in this department while they keep making serious mistakes at it. One thing you could add is that the bottom bezel is only 1/3 usefully occupied while samsung's are entirely covered by buttons.

The Storage technology has also been improved. It is using NVME. Which puts the competition to bite the dust.

Victor Gil I already see that is fast but in antutu test show no imprudent and actually Samsung beat the iPhone in overall performance

You should also compare the headphone jack output since apparently there is a noticeable hiss when using sensitive earphones i.e. multi-armature earphones which the previous iPhones did not have.

Just want to say I love the work you do. I wish I could start doing reviews and have cases sent to me I like have a lot of different cases right now I'm looking for a good screen protector I want a cinder but I've been seeing more people will order them and pay for them but never receive the screen protector.

The reason the settings for the camera are buried in the Settings app due to Apple's philosophy I guess. It's an interesting take really. The iPhone feels so simple in many ways. No widgets, all in it's place. Android feels a bit more messy, and manufacturer skins are a multiplier for this. Pros and cons, always. I've found I prefer the Android experience over iOS, but prefer the iPhone as a whole. What I mean is that the hardware is good, the apps play so well together and also so many of my friends have iPhones, and this makes the utility of iMessage, FaceTime etc. much bigger. Apple is pretty wise to play this card I think.(E.g. my father would never search for and install Skype, but he might press that little camera button when someone calls him)

After watching this, I decided to buy 6S+ 😊

+jeffscomp they're not gonna bring back smaller phones I don't think. 4.7 inches is considered pretty small now so I don't think that'll happen. but they would seem a lot smaller if they had better screen to body ratio. My note 5 has a bigger screen than the 6s plus but is smaller and way easier to hold. apple just needs less chin and better bezels.

jeffscomp I think it's that most people prefer phones bigger than that now. Because even if they cost less, if they were to out sell the bigger ones by enough that would prove to be more profitable. So that can't be why

Actually I new to apple and I bought an iPhone 6s its amazing

It's worth noting that the iPhone 6 does in fact quick charge when using 2.1 to 2.4 amp charger. Quick charging is not an advertised feature but it does so none the less, just not with the cheap 1amp included charger.

Are you planning to review the LG V10?

I've a problem with my 6s, some really hard to see darker area on screen. Only see able on white background and while looking at screen with angle.

That OIS video comparison was definitely a stark contrast.

I come from a 400+ ppi phone and I guarantee you: I love the iPhone 6 Display. Colors, contrast and brightness are just insanely good. And I don't see any pixels in everyday usage!

Will you be getting the LG V10?

I have 64GB 6 and I'm really hoping they decide to go up to 1080p and OIS on the 7. Then maybe do 1440p or 4K on the 7 Plus. I'm a big dude so I have huge pockets for huge phones but I don't really like phablets in the hand. I think 4.7 or 4.8 is really the optimal size of phone for most people so they shouldn't be skimped on for features just to push people towards the larger device. Your video REALLY highlighted the difference with OIS, it's almost like the 6S Plus itself was on a cinematic stabilizer as opposed to the 6S which swayed noticeably with every step. Hoping they do something with the sharpness and contrast as well, the 4K video from Casey Neistat on the 6S Plus looked amazing but the Note 5 still visibly destroyed the 6S Plus in 4K even without the side-by-side comparison in your test. Sharpness & contrast seem to always be a weak spot for the iPhone cameras

I will be upgrading to the S model because with the two-year contract selling my prior device covers most of the cost of the new one so it becomes worth while.

Nice wedding picture Erica :) oh, wait this was about the iphone hehe. About the fingerprint unlock, like you said there is still the pwr button for notification window. I could get used to that. Still doesn't make a big selling point. As for the rest of both phones, camera is ok, the camera software is not (big selling point for me). Screen..... well it's better then writing on a stone tablet is it? Bezels to big, resolution to low. And then the cpu/gpu. That's just taking everything out of balance doesn't it? everything mediocre and then the cpu/gpu is killing that of all the competition but it just doesn't make up for the other shortcomings. What use is graphic speed if the screen can't keep up. Thanks for the review!

Another thing worth noting is that an iPhone 6 will not bend by virtue of being in a pocket no matter how much "friction" or heat may happen from it rubbing around. I keep my 6 plus in the apple leather case in my snug pockets all the time over the past year with no problems. If someone somehow manages to bend their original iPhone 6 they must have leaned against it and some object such as shooting pool and learning against the the corner of the table against the pocket that had their iPhone in it. The phone is not meant to take those kind of pressures necessarily, and it would be common sense to remove it from your pocket in those situations.

I upgraded from the 6 to the 6S, quite impressed with battery life so far and I'm only on day 3, but software I'm definitely not impressed with, this is the only iPhone I've experienced so much stutter and lag, my iPhone 6 had the same after the install of iOS 9, recently installed iOS 9.1 which seems to have cleared the stutter and lag a great deal! 3D Touch? I like it (novelty more than anything at first but gradually using it more now) Camera? Not really tested enough to comment but the photos I have taken seem your typical (Great Apple Quality) I've never been disappointed with an iPhone Camera, my only gripe before was the front facing camera and now that been upgraded and is now a lot better, I have an Official Apple Leather Case which I purchased from the Apple Store (Midnight Blue) for my previous iPhone 6, I've put it on my iPhone 6S and it is super tight snug fit! No problem with the cases! Feels chunkier in a good way! Great review!

I don't know the 6s Plus color to choose Space Gray or Gold.

Great examples of 3D touch at this early stage are Tweetbot 4 and Instagram. Both use 3D touch really well, Tweetbot 4 is really good you can 3d touch a tweet and it peeks at the replies and you can pop to go into the tweet and see all the replies and the conversation. I couldn't go back to not using it on tweetbot 3 so thats a sign of a good interface addition.

I 100% agree with the styling thing, personally I never really liked the 6 styling but I had to upgrade and I'm a big apple fan so the 6 is what it had to be but I think the 5's looked but better especially with the split glass and aluminium on the back, I hope apple take inspiration from the 5 with the 7

You're so lucky to have all these phones! I'm still stuck with my iPhone 4S. I'm grateful that I have it though. Anyway, great video :D

Personally i feel like i love the iphone 6 screen to body ratio more than the s6 /n5 stb ratio . Its actually all perspective . But if you think about it if the phone is being dropped and lands on the side , even the slightest screen crack might affect the display on the s6/n5 .

What's wrong about a lightning fast finger print scanner? I'd love to have that on my phone

sad year phone decreasing battery capacity and some dropping ois. maybe next year, anyway wondering if the 7 will have QHD or use the iPad resolutions which are almost QHD. iPads with their lower ppi still looks great anyway.

I can say that the 6S deep scratches really easily. My 6S after pulling it out of my pocket multiple times has deep scratched. Then again, I have metal things on the top inside of my pocket.

It seems iPhone's screen is darker than Samsung's Amoled's screen (when they are off)? It would look nice for the space grey model, a minimal piece of black glass :))My question is, should I get iPhone or Note 5? I already have an iPad Air and a Macbook Pro. It would be cool to be in all iOS environment as works and stuffs are sync nicely, but it could be boring too. Having a Note 5 would let me tinker with Android apps and customisation stuffs.

I don't know why people are saying the finger print scanner is too fast. If you want to see your lock screen notifications use an unregistered finger to unlock it. You've got 9 others to choose from.

Should i 'Upgrade' from The 4s to The 6s?

I may get the iPhone 6s plus I normally wear caky shorts with pretty large pockets or jean shorts with large pockets so not too worried about it not not fitting well. Also I may just get one of those apple cases to protect it from scratches.

Batteries were made smaller for the Taptic Engine, not 3D Touch.
