I don't think it's worth upgrading from iPhone 12 to 15. Maybe 16 or 17 might make a lot more sense.

the 12 kept up very well at the start but then slowed down a bit i think the cpu is fine and thats not the slowdown because when you did 15 pro max vs 12 pro max no reloads and they were very similar its just the base 12 has 4gb ram and that's why its losing a bit the more apps you push

but also remember there are other stuff like the 15 will be supported for longer and you have usb c now. Plus the dynamic island as well. Lastly the new 48 megapixel cameras with that portrait mode feature.

I just have to say, I had the iPhone 12 as well, but after some issue happened with the battery and me just even thinking about to switch to an other device, I just picked up the Samsung S 23 ultra. I have to say, that I enjoy this new kind of phone. It’s crazy how good it works 😮😊

iM not the OP but my battery health 82%, I must add that the first summer I bought it I was playing LoL Wild Rift while charging (cuz I was angry for my losses so I always had to play extra) and being a summer. Overall I am sometimes using it like 2 hours a day which is pretty low, so I think I hit the overall average for 3yrs of usage to hit 82% and it doesn't even feel like it's draining fast but rather maybe 5% faster. Do u own it or u think of buying it used? @@Iam-ix4he

Ive been using mine for 2 years and i charge it 3x a day, it gets so hot my hands start hurting, apps close by itself, when finishing editing videos the edit doesnt finish and more stuff, im switching now

I watched this even though I am probably going to get another samsung. I only got an upgrade from an S8 to iPhone 12 as a change, as have always been an android user. On IOS it is recommended that you leave the apps opened on the background since it takes less power to keep that app on RAM than making the CPU reopen and reload everything this saving battery. What I personally do is close all the apps before going to sleep since the phone still will refresh all apps again when opening them 8 9 hours later!

first off I want to start by saying I love your channel. With that being said I have a question and I'm hoping that maybe you could help me out. The iPhone 14 pro Max and Pros had the battery issues where they were degrading much faster then other models did. With that being said the new 15 and 15 plus have the same chip that was in the 14 Pro Models do you think that those models will have the same issues with the battery duration that the 14 Pro Models had or do you think maybe it was something going on with the phone and maybe Apple may have fixed it? I would love to know your thoughts on this.

just upgraded to the iphone 15 from a 12 mini. finally getting a real screen and a real battery. very happy! my 12 mini was stuttering like crazy doing anything (especially camera which i cant stand)

i dont know what you had with your iPhone, but my 12 mini works smooth from day one. the only downsize is the battery with 83% health. i have a friend with 15 pro and i honestly dont see anything to justify the upgrade. not even the camera. as long as my 12 mini is working, i will wait till iPhone 17, 18 or even 19.

As a iphone user since 2018 I switched all iphones from X to 14 pro, I noticed that after 1.5year every iphone just drastically slowed down by apple after installing of newer IOS versions, this thing really change my mind and now hating iphones, iphone 12 was really my favourite device and I was having 20-30 cases worth 20k but apple slowed down and that was the reason of selling, now im just using samsung s23, lets how much change after 1 year in Samsung's device

@@sumitdahanwal6021 The device starts to weaken with the latest update that only supports it, especially since it was dealing with a lot of Wi-Fi + 12. It is still sold new and will not start to weaken until it is with the iPhone 18.

Now days you can keep your phones 3 to 4 years and have a piece of mind that it will serve you well. Or buy older flagships and keep it 2 years or so and not have problems. Same cant be said to mid and budget phones though.

I always tape up my forward facing camera and facial recognition. I hate that they dynamic island contains both now. Guess my next phone will be an SE.

I love my 15 plus. It works great. Question for you Nick: what do you think of camera protectors. I have one on my phone but have read different opinions. Do you think they ruin picture quality? Mine is one large piece that fits over the camera square….Really like this video 😊

Awesome, I like the camera protectors for those who drop their phones a lot, but I don't like how they look so I prefer a case with a raised camera section to protect it further.

@@lormor460 I would never recommend a camera protector, since iPhone camera lenses are sapphire glass, they are very resistant to scratches and breakage. The reason why I do not recommend it is that it produces very bad results in photographs taken at night, especially against light.

I am not keen on spending above 700 buck on a phone, much less over a 1K, just got the 12 for 99 bucks, brand new at cricket, Metro by T Mobile also has it cheap and I am loving it, yes is a 3 years old phone, but it is updated to the latest IOS

tbh id only upgrade to the 15 if you have an iPhone X or older. If you have an XR or newer, wait for the iPhone 16

Im still with the base 12 all my friends tells me to switch to 15 PM but the new 16PM will come out after 4 months soo i'll just wait for the 16PM to come out and then i will be happy to switch from my current base 12 to 16PM

Why upgrade all the time? All the iPhones have the same system.

Maybe there will be a bigger difference in speed when the iPhone 16 comes out. I’m not saying this is a bad thing but there is almost no difference between load times in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 15

I can barely tell them apart… if you’re coming from 11,XR, x, &8 buying base model upgrades just buy the 12 til the 16 release or SE Refresh comes out. You aren’t missing anything at base model range. want “pro” ?! GET the 13 PROMAX. The 13& 14 have the same chip. The 13 pro max is the best battery hands down. I don’t care for usb c I have lightning everything 13 over 12 pro because 13 has 120 hz refresh rate. New base model should be 90 hz. 60 in 2024 paying minimum of $700. Give the average Joe a bone. 120hz again for pro and 90 hz for base 16 and base + & new se (14 refresh shell). Make it worth the upgrade.

I have an iPhone 12 and I love it, I have no reason to upgrade, my battery health is at 85 but it still lasts me the day, I'm only planning to upgrade once the battery health drops below 80

I never have lags, im new owner of a brand new iphone 15, and honestly iphone 12 is 99.9% as smooth as the day I bought it, and battery health is 82% which explains the 0.01% lags. @@muhdhaziq3219

My 11 is getting slower and less reliable. Thankfully I finished school this semester and will be applying for jobs. But the 11 served me well it was reliable and speedy. But now the apps reload more frequently and the ui stutters on occasion and apps don’t work as reliable as they used to but that’s to be expected with a 3-4 year old phone. The main issue for me is battery life. When this phone was brand new I could last a day and a half to two days on charge now I’m having to charge it daily to twice a day at times but overall it’s decent phone. I might upgrade to the 15 or hold out for another year

I agre with my 82% health, Im not sure what slow for gaming u talking about? BTW Today I got iphone 15, and i am who compares them first handedly: meaning I dont praise iphone 12 cuz i 'own' it, rather it''s my 'old used phone' now I own brand new iphone 15. That iphone 12 is not "slow for gaming", never was slow from day 1, it's 99.9% as smooth as the day I bought it. Can u explain?? Only 0.01% lags when say: I swipe twice from youtube so it confuses its icons a bit (cuz I watch horizontally, then I swipe #1 to skip the app , swipe #2 to go to home screen -> but now screen has to turn from horizontal into vertical mode, hence why it's the ONLY case when it "lags" a bit but wasn't doing it before. But game wise? 0 issues (on Iphone 12)!

There is no heat at all with 90 frames in the Pro version and all devices heat up with 90

I don't know if you noticed, but the iPhone 15 screen is 2-3 millimeters wider and higher than the iPhone 12. I wish it was 6.5 inches instead of 6.1. Wouldn't it be great if Apple made screen sizes like this? 6.1, 6.5, and 7.0 inches. I think it would be great.

15 Plus is definitely not a downgrade, the 15 Pro Max is surely worth the upgrade, but the real question is do you need a phone now? Next year might be an even bigger jump!

All the speed test don’t matter to adults that don’t play games. It’s a tool. The only thing the faster phone means is a more efficient processor that means a longer battery life. I find iPhone to be boring. I actually enjoyed my old S9 more. Getting a Samsung again in the future. RCS is coming, it’s long overdue for Apple to catch up with the rest of the world.
