As an Apple Technical Expert (repair technician) for several years, this seriously impressed me. I was getting ready to cringe the whole video. But the precision and care was just 🤌🏻 You even have some tools that we don’t 😅 I’ve seen so many botched repair on KZread and in person where I can tell they either don’t know what they’re doing or just don’t care. Most of the time in person it’s because they want to do it as quickly and cheaply as possible to squeeze in more repairs. 3rd party repairs are almost never the answer, for those same reasons. Apple repairs are very streamlined, so finding someone that can do this level of work and you’re likely going to pay the same or more than you would at Apple. Good stuff!

By the looks of what he did it looks like apple is trying to counter this by adding tones of tinny components right near it plus the epoxy around the edges. chipping the epoxy risk slipping and popping a component and heat will risk moving losing components also when the ic is removed. I was shocked as well when I saw the drill but this hole prosses was clean. I mean he even made it air tight again witch when I had a screen replaced they didn't even bother to do. That was on a Samsung note 9 witch I paid $700 for and the screen replacement was $350. so half the price of the phone and i lost a feature I used a log( fish pictures are cool)
