Huawei still doing well for night shots and zoom. My P40 Pro still takes amazing photos no matter what the lighting is and everyone always asks for my pictures even those with new iPhones and Samsungs. Huawei does need to work on video and the inconsistencies with the daytime shots on the new P60 Pro. Otherwise still world class. If it were not for the ban making them lose access to some important hardware and software, they would've remained unbeatable. Would love to see this test with the new Mate 60 Pro. Oh Huawei, I hope you come back. You were a beacon of hope in a sea of stagnating innovation. Apple has never innovated and Samsung has become complacent since Huawei was banned. Huawei was seriously pushing them and I wouldn't be surprised if apple and Samsung were part of helping the ban happen. Huawei had overtaken Apple in 2019 and was about to overtake Samsung. And then boom. The ban. So so sad. It really is unfair for the consumer at the end of the day. It diminishes our freedom of choice and stifles innovation. The US sucks.

@@Techtablets that would be great. My P40 Pro has a cine camera. It uses the wide angle for video recording. It isn't as wide as most wide angles but it is more than wide enough. That means the quality of it is excellent. I wonder why they did away with it.

Great comparison video. I For me the iPhone mic was by far the worsed both in wind noise and voise quality, you sounded like a different person in comparison to what you normally use. The P60 mic was also affected badly by wind noise. S23 easily the better mic. That would be my only slight difference to your comparison. Since most is personal preference anyway. P60 night stuff, iPhone video (just) and portrait shots, S23 everything else telephoto, colours, etc.

Thanks for watching, yes they are a lot of work but at the same time I love to see for myself which is the best at what.

For me, the main question is always "what's the best picture I can get out of the camera?", so default settings isn't that important to me. But of course it gets a lot harder to compare objectively.

Would love to see that as well, but as an owner of a Vivo X90 Pro+ I can tell you if you want your photos to look as close to photos from an DSLR and not artificial and overprocessed the Vivo X90 Pro+ is the way to go and the iPhone is absolutely no match. But although the camera of the Vivo X90 Pro+ is far superior to the iPhones it is not as good if you want to do simple point and shoot. On the Vivo and I assume it's similiar with the Oppo you have to use the right settings to get the most out of it and sometimes try different settings. But I really would want to know how the Oppo Find X6 performs in comparison to the other two especially with it's relatively big sensors behind the ultra-wide and the tele lens

First off love your videos how does the honor magic 5 pro compare to the iPhone 15 pro on all software features and camera features

Wait a bit what happens with s23 when you were shooting video and had another shot from the rest?

The audio pickup from the Samsung is mind blowing. The stabilisation on the iPhone 5X camera is outstanding.

In regards to the oversharpening of the Galaxy S23 Ultra: The picture softening can be adjusted in the camera assistent app (off, medium, high). Did you try that?

I think it should be tested as it comes out of the box because most people won't be changing those settings. And then if they want to sharpen it, that's their choice. Instead Samsung went crazy to try and impress

He uses default settings as all these phones have hundreds of different options and you would need a 10-hour video to cover every small change. So these are for those that just point and shoot.

@@rem792 yes, however it's the other way around. By default the sharpening is at max (picture softening is set to "off" by default), the best way to reduce the oversharpening is to set "picture softening" to medium.

@@rem792 I see it a bit different, bc if you buy a camera centric smartphone I would assume you are willing to spend some time in adjusting the camera settings to get most out of it. In all automatic at least at this point you won't get the most out of the best phones

@@flo_h_96 Yes, I understand but most people haven't even touched the settings menu ever, all the people I know, at least. I haven't touched it either and I have a DSLR and a mirrorless but don't bother looking for a sharpening option, I expect the phone to work out of the box and it shouldn't need any adjustment considering the average person that buys the phone. You should only need to use it if the picture needs it, I think there's no excuse for Samsung that is charging so much for these slabs of plastic, it goes for all the manufacturers,really. Look at how much they charge for these things. So yes, it should work out of the box 😁

Prova disso é que a melhor fotografia varia entre os três celulares testados. Mas pra mim a maioria das fotografias (inclusive o vídeo), o Galaxy S23 Ultra se saiu melhor. E em segundo lugar o Huawei P60. Mas o iPhone tem excelentes imagens com certeza. Acredito que o próximo passo dos celulares (digo fotografia) será na capacidade de oferecer melhor imagem à noite e com zoom. Em termos de câmeras principais estão muito parecidas.

Even $600 mid-range phones can do daytime shots well. But if you are doing portraits of animals or humans the iPhone wins.

@@space_time_everything_else I think they are very close, but the iPhone looks better overall. If you can wait for the S24U, that may give the iPhone a run? Yes, the S23U has a slower shutter, which means you could get a blurry shot in low light with a moving subject. It is better but with the iPhone you can take shot after shot instantly, there is def shutter lag with the S23U, which is no issue if the subject is static.

Friend, I have a normal iPhone 15 and I'm thinking about switching to the S23 ultra because I like to play emulators and it's not free on the iPhone. But I have doubts whether the S23 camera is better than the normal iPhone 15 in photos and videos and which of the two will upload better quality on Instagram?

In my opinion, the photo in which you used the S23 10x camera , It's normal to get that noise . Because you do the zoom for the whole view including the atmospheric conditions :fog , haze ....etc.

That is why Samsung is killing the 10X zoom. They have reached their limitations, and too much noise, poor video stabilisation, and subpar night zoom make it look limited compared to other periscopes. The S24U coming in a few months is rumoured to use a 5X zoom like the iPhone, but with 50mp, so it will be much better than the 10X zoom overall. The 10X was a great marketing trick with its silly moonshot, but it just does not cut it any more quality-wise, and just spec-chasing higher zoom for bragging rights will disappoint in the long game.

Good, detailed comparison. However, you need to do the comparison with the mate 60 pro which was released around the same time as the iphone 15 pro. The P60 pro was the earlier version.

Samsung needs to reduce excessive oversharpening. I know it can be adjusted from the camera assistant app, but it's not in the camera app itself which most people will use.

The recent changes in iPhone photos don't sit well with me. It feels like they're relying too heavily on software tweaks, neglecting hardware improvements. Consequently, they end up over-editing and removing the natural imperfections that give photos their uniqueness and memorability. Apple's approach often leaves photos feeling lifeless. In my view, a great camera should aim to capture moments rather than just "fix" them.

They are all good and working differently. iPhone adds temperature to all it's videos making them look yellowish. S23 Ultra adds more vibrancy, & Huawei P60 pro brightens more. I would go with S23 ultra since it has more customization. But they are all clear

7:47 you must to tap focus on iPhone screen before selfie, it’s difficult to use but it works every time.

Once I switched my stream to a much higher resolution (at least 1080p) I saw that the P60 pro, for me, gave the best results.

What's the difference between oversharpening and having more details? In one comparison you say you don't like the Samsung because it's oversharpening, while in another at night you like the Huawei for having more details(which look to me like it's oversharpening also)

S23 ultra takes good photos but once u zoom in after u take pic the photos are Blurry not Crisp or clear how di I fix this problem

S24 ultra should come with 5x optical zoom as well, also it would be enough to zoom up to 50x instead of 100x with better stabilization. None need 100x because it's not really useful.

Great video, In the video its almost crystal clear for me that the wide-angle camera on the Huawei is taking a best overall photo, see the details at the trees and mountains in the background and the details in metal fence in the floor, you can literally count them.. no discussions there, the other 2 phones makes decently but its clear which one is the winner there.

Huawei P60 Pro best image quality and the dynamic range on the Huawei is unmatched. 8:45 im sorry but the portrait shot here, Huawei P60 Pro did the best. the dynamic range and brightness of the sun spot on. While the iphone looks dim and soft.

S23 takes the cup but it’s too expensive

Just a tip if u use a stand and night more on samsung with 30 sec sater and also a 2 sec count down . u can make some amazing pictures in rly dark inviroments ! btw i mostly disagree with u but it is okey this is why we are different ppl. i prefer most of the times the samsung and the huawei pictures they are sharper and more detailed. iphone for me is just a blure.

That simply not true. The Vivo X90 Pro+, Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Oppo Find X6 Pro are all crushing the iPhone and Samsung, if you know how to use them. The hardware of these three chinese smartphones in terms of the cameras is simply far superior. If you like artificial and very processed looking photos which you can identify as photos taken on a smartphone iPhone and S23 Ultra will do the job. If you want photos as close as possible to an DSLR the chinese ones I mentioned are the way to go. They are so good that often you won't be able to tell if the photos are taken by a smartphone or an DSLR

I recommend you to try the photo softening on medium in Samsung camera assistant, makes photos look so much more natural and pleasing.

Yes that's an option but for my camera comparisons I use default settings on all phones. If I start tweaking and improving one that's not fair in the others so all stock settings as if out if the box (expect watermarks on)

@@TechtabletsI think it would be fair. It is not fair that Apple does not let you tweak too much their devices. If you want to get the best the phone can deliver, then use all the options that the provider gives you. The camera comparison is about how much you can do with a phone camera, not what the provider lets you do by default. But kudos for the video!
