The S23 Ultra is clearly a better phone by itself, but iPhone comes with the accessories/ecosystem and typically better apps. However, some people understandably don’t like the idea of their tech continuum revolving around buying Apple products only, as it makes them feel locked in. In that sense, the relative lack of an “ecosystem” is actually an advantage for the S23U, since you don’t have to worry about your other devices suddenly being useless if you switch to a different brand phone. But for those who don’t mind being tied to the Apple brand, their ecosystem is hard to beat.

It's (samsung) better overall, the continuity is there, you have the choice to have continuity with samsung or other brands as you stated, the problem with apple is after the imessage, FaceTime and airdrop hype, they have nothing else besides a videographers companion, which is who you see promoting this phone. Years have passed and they've patiently been waiting for apple to magically obtain what samsung phones have, which unmatched greatness in all areas, if you create content you must have an iphone it's a no-brainer, but if you don't, you've been missing out for years and will continue for eternity, that's why these guys have several phones, don't let em steer you off road.

Fully agree,i have tried multiple time to use and love iphone but i still go back to samsung.The keyboard is trash,it doesn’t even support clipboard which one underrated feature and the list goes up,there are so many little things that ads up and always make me go back to android

The one thing I love about my S23Ultra is that I can schedule my messages. Like if I want to text my boss that ill be out of work .. I can schedule the message to be sent the next day at a certain time and not have to wake up early just to send it lol. I can sleep in no worries 😊 iphone ...can't do that

Great vid Nick! You are right about the 15PM throttling a bit in intense gaming. I watched a stress test comparison with the S23 Ultra and the iPhone15PM was having throttling issues compared to the S23 Ultra. Hopefully they can resolve that issue before they release the console quality games on the 15 PM.

That issue was due to low cores in A17 as compared to snapdragon2 ..a17- fast performance Snapdragon 8gen2 - more performance thats the difference

Great content. Let's talk. Colors and Iphones are very bland. Limited apps on the dynamic island. The action button is very limited. No double or triple tap. No sim tray, for switching sims. You can E sim, but you'll have to do gymnastics to switch from phonecto phone. The charging speed is too slow for 2023. No home screen landscape. No wireless reverse charging. No pause and start on video. You have to edit on the iPhone. Much less customizable

Finally a real comparison review-

I had a S22ultra 512GB which I traded for S23 ultra 512 gig. I had an iPhone 11 and I used iphone 13 pro max a lot as well. Samsung has nailed it with S23ultra. Battery life is awesome. Screen is amazing. Performance is better than ever. My iphone started lagging but no lags on samsung side. Also my iphone 11 would get scorching hot after playing CoD but Samsung doesnt even budge.

I have both galaxy note 10+ and recently bought iPhone 14 Pro from 8+ just because 15 pro hasn't been released yet and the price is discounted for the 14 pro. Ironically I'm more into power user with the note 10+ instead of 14 pro. The features, customisation, and the NFC helps me a lot. Yes iPhone has NFC too but it's not really working in my country, even I can't use Apple pay. But the battery life for my iPhone 14 pro is amazing. Maybe you need to review a brand new iPhone 14 pro with iOS 17 in terms of battery health after months

I haven't used a stylus since 2005 with WIndows Mobile and I haven't missed it.

If you want split screen or landscape mode you'll need the new A20 pro chip in the iphone 18 pro max which is not out yet. 😮 you know kinda like the M1 for pen hoover on ipad pro.

I upgraded to the S23 Ultra from the 14 pro, and it was prob the biggest deal i have gotten when buying a phone, so basically while i was in the mall, i saw that the Samsung store was doing freebies and discounts if i buy any of their S Series, and i decided i should try out the S23 Ultra now the starting price was 1119 USD and free Samsung Earbuds 2 pro and Samsung Watch 5, but i payed only 899 for all of it when i traded in my S21 plus, and i must say that was the biggest steal i have ever gotten when buying a phone

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the dynamic island because of the infrared Face ID sensor? I know Samsung uses the camera which doesn’t work as well in the dark.

7:53 Word! Split Screen is super helpful. I bought a Moto Stylus to use for delivery apps. Split Screen 2 apps and get signatures

The only thing that would make me choose an iphone over a Samsung is the camera to be specific vedio. Either than that its Samsung all day and twice on Sundays.

Fair review.. for me..I chose Samsung for 2 reasons. Customization.. And that's probably true with every Android phone. Second is the S pen, but not for the all the things it can do. My reason is winter!!! With a s pen..I can do everything and more with a s pen. I can do it with with gloves on my hands. You can not do that with any phone but a Samsung.

This is how I see it: Video - iPhone 15 Pro Max Security - iPhone 15 Pro Max Apps - iPhone 15 Pro Max Brightness - iPhone 15 Pro Max CPU - iPhone 15 Pro Max Battery duration - iPhone 15 Pro Max GPU - Depends on the game based on my experience Photography - S23 Ultra Fast charging - S23 Ultra Customization - S23 Ultra Resolution - S23 Ultra Consistent gaming performance - S23 Ultra (Doesn't throttle after several hours of gaming based on my experience) So it really depends on what you prefer. Personally, since I prefer fast-charging, more consistent gaming without any FPS drops, customization and the design of the S Ultra, I choose the S Ultra series and I am excited about the S24 Ultra.

I'm gonna have to argue with saying iphone wins on apps. Yeah a few social media apps are better optimised for iphone but theres hundreds of useful apps that will never be avaliable on iphone. Being able to sideload apps also plays into samsungs field. I can emulate switch games on my s23 ultra which iphone will never offer.

You can also take battery away from apple. My S23 Ultra has had days with 10 and a 1/2 hours screen on time over a 3 day, that's 72 hours. And days, with 12 and a 1/2 hours screen on time with just under 48 hours of usage. I still haven't seen anyone match that.😊

If I remember correctly, most smartphone products are guaranteed to have sufficient speed and build quality that do not interfere with daily life, so that such comparative tests are considered meaningless for devices produced after the iPhone X. Think about the transition from a typical 2G phone to the smartphone generation. We wanted to walk, use the Internet, and have better cameras. From now on, what we should want is another world beyond smartphones. Something better is needed. However, we are currently facing our biggest problem. The biggest problem is that we don't know what we want or what it is.

I tried out the 15 pro max and I honestly like the improvements of the iphone when it comes to build and the usb c but that ios software being the same old thing ( yes i get the simplicity of it ) it isnt for me. I personally prefer Samsung's way of how they do things.

why is the flashlight so huge on them 15 Pro max?

The s23 ultra is way better and with features like the programmable side key and gaming ,samsung has been able to do those things for years as well as USB C. I have the s23 ultra and it's the best phone ive ever used. Also the s23 ultra has dynamic island, multi tasking , s pen capabilities and emulators w with more games, and 10 x zoom with full clarity etc. However, I just used the 15 pro max today and the camera is impressive and it's very light but still my s23 ultra is more fun to use and also more capabilities and just wait until the z fold 6 ultra is released next year. I was playing Mario Odyssey and Nintendo games which the iPhone simply can't do.... Also with the iphone It can't really multi task, in screen fingerprint scanner, superior thermal management, use copy and paste clipboard, run emulators for old school games and new games , use s pen stylus functionality with gestures , download anything from anywhere at anytime, use smart view projection nor anything like DEX projection , wireless powershare which comes in handy when you forget charger , similar charging speeds. Also on ios 17 reaching the control center is harder then my old iPhone 6s and you can't really customize the navigation method to shapes like samsung which isn't necessarily for me . For me I'm a samsung guy but I'll say this iphone 15 pro I give the camera clarity props after testing it but Samsung once I experienced those features I can't live without them

as an iphone user i really don’t care about anything you said. S23 ultra doesn’t have dynamic island it’s a copycat version which android has been doing for years with plenty of there exclusive iPhone features, i know more than most people about phones and know my way around advanced settings but do appreciate the simple ease of use day to day without having to worry about anything, it all just works across the whole ecosystem. although i do prefer windows over mac

I could disagree with simplicity getting taken away if you make your phone fun to use, the google pixel is very simple, clean and has better animation than even iPhone and overall feels smoother. ios is a very boring and less productive software to use, its kinda like ios is for little kid and android is for people mostly in there 20-40s or some outlier old people that are tech savy. Apple just has the brand hype because people who defend apple with simplocity pixel exists, simple, easy to use, smoothest and is productive enough.
