13 PM on iOS 15.4 was crazy. They added lots of cool features in iOS 16 and 17 but iOS 16 was really buggy and those features impacted battery life. I’d be happy to have iOS 15.4 back anytime as I got insane screen on time on my 13 PM.

I got 15 pro max few days ago and the battery is draining like crazy.. it doesnot even last for 10hrs. Dont you guys have this battery problem?

What about when you are on silent mode vibration doesn't work, I had mine set to just badge alerts on my 15PM and my 14PM worked just fine lol

Just started watching the " echo" live stream. Was the mic on the iPhone for recording video on & the headset mic on as well? Nice disclosure on WiFi being used mostly. The 5G & new modem(?) may alter it a bit. ...that 13 pro battery plug was really nice. It puts the newer models in perspective. Not often do you hear " older was better" . Its a point many side step .

I’m glad you’re more satisfied with the Pro Max- I love mine. It’s been so long since I’ve had a iPhone and I’m enjoying this one. I did have the SE 2022, but…I don’t think it really counts to me- considering it’s so retro and missing features. And I never used it. 15 Pro max demands to be used lol. I do still like Android more but I am enjoying it.

Id love to see more iPhone stuff as you know i like both Android & IOS what i like most about your content is your rational if you don't like a phone one year, that doesn't mean you simply will not like all iPhones or all Samsung because you had a bad experience. That's why I watch you all the time. There's no BS.

It’s my 2nd day with a 15 pro max and the reason I’m here is that it only took 4.5 hrs from fully charged to 45%. I’ve been using 5G for half of the time, with zoom recordings, Spotify and various apps constantly running.

I had a chance to mess with an iphone 14 Pro Max yesterday that belongs to my niece. It was a smooth experience like i would expect from an iPhone. The promotion display was on. I can't say that it was very noticeable but im wondering, if it is an adaptive refresh rate and I was scrolling slow enough to be able to read the screen and navigate through the setting, would that have the screen refreshing at a slower rate closer to what I would be use to seeing?

Yes. It’s an adaptive refresh rate. It’s not constant.

I’m liking my 15PM. No getting hot issues with mine cause I don’t use Instagram or any of that type of app. Just the occasional pic and plenty of KZread and Apple News app reading. Pretty good phone.

Normally I would be fine with the pro but I use my phone for work. I have the 14 pro max. After 10 hour shift, about 12 hours until phone back on charger will have between 50 to 70 % battery left. The bigger display also good for work as well. I put my phones in my back with a wallet attached it’s comfortable for me. My only complaint about the pro max is the weight, honestly hurts my hands with long periods of time in use, my 13 pro was heavy too, 15 weight reduction is must have for me.

I'm exchanging my 15 pro for 15 pro max. Didn't want a bigger phone but battery life on 15 pro just doesn't cut for me on weekends when I'm not working. During the work week it's fine. Unfortunately my 15 pro max doesn't ship until 10/27

Hello TechOdyssey, Have you not thought about having a faulty Pro unit in your case? How come, 15 pro is the worst and the same max is a battery king?

it's important to mention what you do with it for those 8 hours. For instance, I play a stupid lil' game and that eats up battery faster than taking pictures and stuff. But I'm tempted to charge my S23 ultra to 100% and just watch LotR one weekend to see the screen on time

@@TechOdyssey it must be something with your network in the states, I never got more than 4 hours of SoT, but since I upgraded, I can feel confident in going out for a couple of hours with let's say 35% battery, knowing I can listen to music and get my notifications and not have the battery die by the time I get back home. Also I use a Xiaomi or however you write that name 33 W charger and It charges my phone in like 30 - 40 minutes. I always keep it within 25 - 85%

My iphone 15 pro max reached 20% after 44 hours (not much use) then after regular use about 36 hours. The best battery I've had.

Finally pulled the trigger last night. Have traded my pixel 7pro for the s23 ultra. On Samsung web site got $200.00 off on the s23 ultra and $375.00 trade-in for the 7pro for a total out of pocket $675.05. Not cheap but as good as the s23 ultra is reported to be it should last me a long time. Yea!

The s24 ultra will be at lost price for probably 6 months or so, it may also have a price increase, and would suspect that trade-in value on the 7pro will decrease. You may be right only time will tell. I will have a good trade-in devise if I determine I need the s24 ultra.

Finally good news for iPhone 15 lineup I'm new to Apple iPhone 14 plus for the past three weeks after a lifetime android user my Samsung S22+ is now in the hands of my girlfriend and she runs the hell out of it and as for battery life she said from her use it was pretty good for a one year old device all day battery life! I just love smartphones iPhone Samsung both are a lot of fun! Thanks for your review good job..

I asked the battery life question about the 15 Pro and was was told it's about on par with the 14 Pro. Don't know if you had an opportunity to play with that one 🙂

Yes. From my experience the 15 Pro and 14 Pro are pretty identical

I still think the iPhone 15 plus has slightly better battery life then pro max

If it’s not making it for you, yes get pro max. I sold my 13 pro for 15 pro. Battery life on 15 pro is noticeably less than 13 pro. I wish I kept the 13 pro

I think the reason the 13 pro battery was better is because of lack of always on display, dynamic island etc and all those new features the 14 pro max and 15 pro max have

If it’s financially feasible and you want the better cameras, dynamic island, action button, and ProMotion display, go for it. It’s certainly not a necessary upgrade but there are some nice things there.

I just bought a used but immaculate Samsung Galaxy A34 5G 256GB for £150 which today has got me 10 hours SOT with 32% left, its crazy how some people will pay apple prices

Yeah tell me how it is in an year, i had a s21 plus that was perfect and exynos too, battery was great and imagine its due to it being less powerful than snapdragon so it ate up less power, then i had to switch to a s22 plus because the s21+ started to get dead pixels on the screen and the modem (?) stopped working i couldnt get signal, my battery life was horrible from the bat, and in a year the battery health went to 84% ( measured with acubattery), the phone would lag and apps wouldnt load, it would overheat on apps like instagram and twitter to the point it disabled the 120hz for a few minutes, struggled to get to 4 hours sot. Got a 15pm and wow, never lags, the app experience is way better and my battery lasts a whole day without charging it through thr day. Its way faster and everything is smoother, plus imessage is years ahead of anything android has. The only thing i miss is my back button and download apks, it gets tiring having to swipe from left go right and not being able to install custom apps but other than that im not going back to samsung or android for the foreseeable future.
