I’d be curious to see how many of them actually used those chargers though. It’s a pretty anti-consumer move not to include them (especially when changing one end of the connector) but I never used the included wall plugin since the iPad wall plugin I’ve had for a while just charged the phone significantly faster. The included chargers have always kind of sucked IMO. I think they should’ve continued to give out wall plugins with a usb c plug-in for about 3 more years, or at least have an option to receive it with phone as shipping then both together likely results in less energy being used than shipping the same customer a charger and an iPhone separately.

That’s all fine and good. Environmental impact is still a factor. Be as cynical as you want. It will still have a net positive no matter how small. And everyone has a cable and brick that can charge these phones. I’m not getting one, but I could charge it easily, as well.

To anyone watching this and to Marques: I’ve been using the Apple issue silicon case with the MagSafe Wallet and it is great! Never slips off while entering or exiting my pocket. I’ve used several different “wallet” style cases in the past on previous iPhones and this is the best implementation so far! Plus, it is nice because I can pop the wallet off and use wireless charging or placing on a car dash mount. Marques REALLY did Apple and potential iPhone buyers a disservice in this regard.

Yeah, just got 1 for a 13 Pro Max and can use it to charge my XS but you have to line up the coil with the magnet to get 100% charging speed… Magsafe cases on 12 & 13 phones can definitely make wireless charging faster

@@danfontaine8179 I'm sure carrier's will include a free charger with pre-orders or something. They will treat it as a deal simular to how android devices include free headphones or cases with pre orders.

They have been using a USB Type C charger for iPhone for quite a while... all MacBooks had long shifted to Type C.
