Wow, this is the perfect video for learning how to fix your iphone camera lens! I cracked one of the lenses on my iPhone 13 and bought the repair kit for $11 on Amazon. I used this video to replace my lens and I did it in less than 10 mins! Thanks for the vid!!! 🙏🏾
I like the way you protect the lens, the uv coating ont the lens is very fragil, a lot of guides out there where they directly put heat on the lens. Goos job!

What adhesive do you recommend for sealing? I know you said the brand but is there a particular one in the product range?

Great video but the music was blasting
Easy to replace. However, after replacing the glass on mine I noticed that when in wife mode (the wide lens had cracked) the view was blurry. I was sure I had wiped the lens with alcohol and cleaned well enough and hadn’t touched the new glass cover. Any ideas?

This has to be pulled from an original housing.

the lens is of the camera is inside and under the hole. thit is the camera lens. round piece of glass that covers sits flush to the round circle is just the protector that prevents dust and other tiny object falling on top of the lens that is inside under the hole. so any clear undistorted piece of glass will do.

@@iDoctorUK hi 😊 I’ve bought two original house units (one to practice and one to use as a replacement) to pull the original lens of it, as mine is cracked and I’d like to replace it with the original glass. Can you advise how to safely pull the glass without damaging it? And also where are you based and how much would it cost to replace the cracked glass at your repair shop?
The lens broke and when I turned on the camera there was a sound. If we change the lens, will the sound go away?🙏

The adhesive is a silicone based gasket adhesive that we use to re-seal Apple Watches that people take swimming so I suppose it would

The heat gun melted the lens housing and the lens appears crystalline as well. Game over.
It's not a good idead to pick the shards of glass off from the outside without removing the camera. It can either scratch the lens or worse, seize up the autofocus-motor, then it becomes an over $100 repair. I've had plenty of customers bring in their "attempted" repairs. But hey, to each their own.

Whether you think this should be or shouldn't be done, as you said yourself, customers will try and do it themselves. This video shows an option for protecting the inner lens and explains the risks clearly.

@@YoungHeartedSoul - Maybe you can ask your local repair shop to remove the camera before working on the glass for safety. Here in Ohio it runs $29 parts and labor, probably more in NYC.
Can we stop calling the glass covers lenses please. The lenses are on the camera that is in the phone. The broken part is a cover.

Dont put the phone down like that so the shards can fall in to the lense. Instead do it upside down, looking up at the phone so the glass will fall away from the lense ;)
