The best part about this job is the smile we all have when the customer's equipment starts up and works well. This is our greatest reward (with the invoice :)).

I want to study Electronic Engineering in the future, honestly I get an awesome feeling when I fix simple electronics with the little knowledge I have, and the image of you smiling after fixing the touch gave me so much joy, videos like this make me even more confident about studying Electronics.

I bet you this guy doesn’t even have an electrical engineering Degree. I think it would be a waste of your time to get an engineering Degree and then just open an electronic repair shop. Might as well save that tuition money that I know is not cheap, and the time spent studying at university and use it to directly learn how to do these repair job. You might even be able to make some money along the way repairing and learning.

M.D. F I thought the same thing, I learned recently he does have an electrical engineering degree. I get what you mean though, engineering school is not something taken just for fun and I’ve debated dropping out and doing exactly what you said. But frankly opening any business is a risk in itself, and let’s say it just doesn’t work out, now I’m left with nothing to fall back on. This isn’t my goal for right when I graduate, there is money to be made in the engineering field and I want to first pay off all of my parents debt and be settled and secure with my future family, before even thinking about any of this. It’s an eventual dream, when I am ready, I’ll use my knowledge of electrical systems and field experience, along with and further training I need to open my dream shop, thanks for the comment, all the best to you.

@@RU4SERIOUS1 Keep studying, like you said if things don't work out you want something to fall back on. And who knows, perhaps you do start your own business and after a couple of years you might decide to move onto something else. You won't use everything that you learn in university, but the foundation will be there and it's a great sense of achievement.

Flux strips the oxide layers. Oxide works like an insulation barrier, not just electrically and metallurgic, but also to some extend thermally. Meaning flux, through dissolving oxide, helps solder joints (re)flow more easily, with less thermal delta and duration of exposure, meaning less risk of thermal degredation or damage of whatever else is exposed to the applied heat.
