i also use this case for about 1 yeah and its just the perfect case for me. I am also at school its just perfect for writing in school because of the different angels that case can make

The ESR hybrid is a nice looking case, you are right about that. I am examining the possibility of buying a Magic keyboard though and I think it would be nice to have both kinds of cases for different occasions I think I can only afford one. That keyboard doesn’t sell anywhere for less than.$249. I am going to go back to the recommendations you made in your other video re screen protectors and not go with the ESR. Both the Ailun and the Spigen have received good reviews on other lists as well as having tested well for you. I haven’t seen the Super Shield anywhere but I am going to watch for it. I am certain that your testing standards are higher than any of the erstwhile lists I ran across in my search for information. I couldn’t see that you have covered the issues of keyboards or pencils but I didn’t really search thoroughly. Thanks

does the right edge of the hybrid case allow charging for an apple pencil in a pencil sleeve? or is that rubber bumper + sleeve too thick for the magnets to work?

The premium one seems largely pointless, I've been using the basic folio for over 2yrs and even though I use the iPad every day and take it everywhere, I've never missed the extra protection. I was considering it mainly for the added vertical position but it’s not that often that I needed it to stand vertically and that I also don't have something else to lean it on. Everyone who reviews the hybrid with detachable cover has a plain apple pencil but I have a skin on mine. I can't tell if there is a small loss in magnetic hold by the case covering on that side (even with it being thinner along that section). I've never found it to be very secure even before applying the pencil skin so adding an extra layer between the pencil and iPad must reduce it's hold a bit. It's not a problem with the flap over it but when I'm carrying it and using it, it could be… how much weaker the hold is, is unclear from the reviews that I've seen. The extra protection could help in the unlikely event that it suffers an impact of some kind but it just seems like overkill. I might just get the updated tri-fold since the one I have is losing its form and doesn't stand as firm anymore.

i think the ESR hybrid isn't the pro but the 360. the pro doesn't come with the back part of the folio, the cover attaches to the back detachable shell. so you won't get the extra viewing angles. the 360 comes with the back part of the folio, which the shell attaches to. this back part of the folio gives you the extra viewing angles since it has that ridge and markings for vertical viewing.

Where can i get this lock screen image?

do yout thing the hybrid 360 case would survive a drop, or would it prevent the ipad from bending on a backpack? it looks way too thin, not so much protective, right?

It is sturdy, and a bit heavy, my iPad survived a 1.5 m (59") fall.

from the looks of it, short fall and bumps will do just fine but anything more than that i dont think so. It doesnt seem to have any top grade protection from the likes of a more expensive case like zugu and mous.

cool, i just wish cases disnt have so many magnets, Im kind of scared of magnets.

Why didn't you check out the wobbly angled lines every glass screen protector produces in combination with the Apple pencil? A bare iPad screen doesn't produce those and is much more accurate!

I doubt that it's actually a “smart case”. It just as magnets and the iPad is the smart component that can tell when the case is closed.

Most of them you can get on Amazon which will take a few days if you don’t have Prime. That’s how I got them

The case is very weak and thin and does not protect the iPad screen from breakage. The case must be thick from the sides and corners to withstand the blows of the fall.

mag smart cover… better than apple’s 😂

@@coolblox8531 lol no. As difficult it is to admit. Even I, an android user, will have to bow down to the m1 ipad. It is not just the hardware, but the software. Android simply lacks apps that can compete with the ipad. The only reason why i switch is due to the software. Can't find any great alternative to procreate. But who knows, maybe once google start to invest again in android L, maybe android tablet will start be competitive again.

Good video, but the thing is that you NEVER showed if the apple pencil could charge without any issue (I know it's supposed to...) but it would have been great to show it directly. The magnetic feature obviously works, but as far as I've seen, many -if not all- cases for iPads, they do not have the magnetic side uncovered which is an issue if you use a sleeve over your apple pencil -most artists use these accessories- because the wireless charging simply will not work with that much of layers between the iPad and the Pencil... HUGE BUMMER!
