No ultraman. In this video, one of the 2 boys was ip chun(Ip Man's oldest) and the other was Cheung Tin Chi's kid. Look at what you just said carefully. If one of the kids is 20 years older than the other, then why are they both kids in this video? Shouldn't one of them be a man already?

btw they were pretty much fighting because the other dude called Ip Man out to settle who's the grandmaster of Wing Chun since that style wasn't very popular back then. They were the only people in their city who were masters of the style and Ip Man learned Wing Chun from a few different masters so his style was tweaked and modernized while the other dude practice straight authentic Wing Chun

@@Frankie1622 In Ip Man: The Legend is Born, we've learned he had one other master during the time he was studying in Hong Kong in his youth. It was, as I recall, the son of their master, who had tweeked the style a little, as he believed all Kung Fu should be constantly evolving. Tin Chi had only been trained by their master, and not the son, so that's the difference. In practice, Ip Man knew all the standard Wing Chun tricks, and then some (like high kicks, which did not exist in Wing Chun back then)! ;)

Well, one inch punch indeed is very impactful. They used their whole body and transfer it to the punch to generate that power. Your core must be strong as you have to twist your hip and your upper body very quick and with little movement. Search online for one inch punch tutorials and you will understand what im saying.

Technically, you know at what distance your opponent is since he just struck you (arms length). You also know, that he will go in for the final blow, you can probably tell that he throws a flurry of punches. From that you know where the arms are roughly and can counter the attack. It takes an insane amount of skill and I am not sure it is realistic, but plausible nontheless. That move is not impossible when all you did your entire life was perfecting your martial art.

This fight had lot of Heavy background , its Wing chin vs Dark side of wing chun , And his wife had terminal cancer , This guy wanted to defeat ip man setting a fight but Ip man didn't show up coz he left martial arts to be with her , He called ip man's wing chun fake claiming to be the Grandmaster of all , And then the scene months later where his wife right before dying finally asked to be himself ( fight) as her last wish , I broke down I admit , It was her last wish to see him do what he left for her !!! That was poignant moment to see how he acted strong for her despite being broken inside !!!

Is not really bad side of wing chun ....... Is just that he thinks that wing chun should stick to original tradisional form with no high kicks ...... Thats why he challenged Ip man becuz Ip man's wing chun style was learned from leung bik which is the edited form of wing chun ..... In the past it really happened fighting for which is the authentic version of wing chun ..... Now all wing chun are the same no more practicing which one is more authentic

Heres the legend and narrative behind this story after Bruce came into the picture: He (IP man) was a real dude, taught Bruce Wing Chun, and he was the only person whom could put Bruce Lee in check. Teenage Bruce used to go up to anyone and challenge them, often beating them up. Sometimes he would challenge a group of people so he could say he matched his master. IP Man almost wanted to take back Bruce's skills after a really bad fight (usually by cutting a tendon in the arm or leg), but decided against it and stopped teaching him. Its also when Bruce decided to venture beyond WING CHUN, and change into the man we know him as. Soon after, he left to HK, then US for movies, and became an international star. Thank god IP man let Bruce keep his Martial arts for the world to see!

In all seriousness, all 3 Ip Man movies are embellishments of the real Ip Man. I'm not bashing them, I actually do enjoy them and quite happy that it's one of the few Asian movies that has gone mainstream. The real life of Ip Man is less exciting but he did endure hardships. I managed to go to his first school in Hong Kong when I was there and I had a blast listening to anecdotes from the students. And yes, he's the one who taught and inspired Bruce Lee. In fact, if you check the philosophy of Jeet Kune Do, some of them are derived from Wing Chun. And by the way, you should check out the other movies, especially wuxia ones, that has Donnie Yen. He's great in all of them

In martial arts, all senses are required specifically eyes and ears. In any style of fighting the movements must be quick as the blink of an eye, free as the flow of water, and devastating as the.burning flames. Combine these three basics and the movement of your arms & legs will create a soft but swift sound, and hence Master IP used his ears to locate the incoming attacks and through his immense skill, landed the blows without his eyes

This is a real fight, and there some points we can noticed: 1) The stick that used, called 六点半棍, which this stick is extremely long and heavy, Wing Chun ppl often practice this very long time. 2) The dual blade that used, called Eight chopper, this blade are quite hard to use, as the usage of the blades can counter back, take away enemy weapon, and others, yet the skills have to practice in long time. 3) Lastly, there a skill that used by Cheung Tin Chi at 5:54, is called as 标指, this skill used as to strike enemy eyes or other weakness soft spot, to blind and heavy damage to enemy, this technique is one type of basics in Wing Chun.

He was able to hit that guy with the one inch punch cause he basically used a photo he took in his head (that’s why it shows the guy from Ip Man POV) and he’s able to time it right because he trains Wing Chung that’s how he dodged the punches next to his face

The man who trained Bruce Lee was a "Grandmaster"....not a "Master". Most Americans pronounce his name as Ip Man. However, the correct pronunciation of his name is (Yip Man). If you haven't yet watched all the Ip Man movies then I strongly encourage you to watch them...including the newer Bruce Lee movies, which give some additional insight into Bruce Lee's life as a student of Yip Man and his earlier years before becoming famous. If you want, I can give the the titles to all of those movies. They are all excellent movies of excellent production quality.

I use to practice Wing Chun. What's going on is you have two masters battling for title of grandmaster (though Ip doesnt really care). When Cheung goes for Ip's eye, that's showing that he is no longer "playing" clean, he is fighting dirty now. That's why Ip does the 1-inch punch, to end the fight.

Fyi too, that long pole (lok dim bun kwan) is quite heavy in reality. Obviously they are using light one on set but still. Due to the mass it has a lot of momentum (i hope im saying that correctly?) And even a light tap hurts like hell. I don't wanna get hit by that ever. Donnie yen by mistake bump the end of the pole at mike's chin, and he drops down, looks painful (he was turning around when the fight scene was over/cut)

He is a top ten Bad Ass. Highest rated bad ass scene is in the movie The Empress and the Warriors!! Watch the movie you will not be disappointed. The Iron Monkey , great too and of course his sister is not bad either. Now for the best part his Mother taught them both, She is Bow-Sim Mark a Grand Master. Most important see The Empress and the Warriors. Empress is Kelly Chen, famous Chinese singer and also actress. Seen her concerts and other movies!! Love your reactions!!

A little backstory to the fight. Cheung Tin Chi went to the same Wing Chun school as Ip Man. Their kids went to the same school. Ip Man had all the fame while Cheung Tin Chi fought in the underground world(paid by the gangs). After Ip Man is praised for taking out gang members when Cheung Tin Chi also helped, Cheung Tin Chi starts to fight for fame. He opens a school, and he beats everyone else. He challenges Ip Man. Ip Man doesn’t show up to the fight because his wife has cancer and Ip Man wants to make his wife happy. One day, Ip Man’s wife asks Ip Man if he would have fought Cheung Tin Chi if she wasn’t ill. Ip Man says yes. Ip Man’s wife wants Ip Man to fight Cheung Tin Chi because she loves when Ip Man fought, and did his thing. After the fight, Cheung Tin Chi tells Ip Man he has lost, and breaks a sign that says he is a grandmaster at Wing Chun. Ip Man tells Cheung Tin Chi that it is more important to have the love of your life by your side than to win or lose.
