The head police officer in this scene has been in Hong Kong films for decades great to see he is still active. he is a great drama actor. Actually thought he had retired.

This is probably my favourite fight scene in all of the ip man movies. Also I've watched this movie so many times with subtitles that i can understand almost every line now.

they could've used a gun but they wanted to show how they didn't need one against him, that was their mistake
'Speak softly, but carry a big stick.' The other person did not have the baby fat on face and the back story that of a hero. Otherwise he is an excellent fighter. And luck was against him as well. He had every quality of a hero, except luck.
