Absolutely not an 8 seed. Look at USC drawing a 20-12 Kansas team as their 8 seed while we’re supposed to be the higher 2 seed getting 25-8 WVU. Credit to WVU for forcing us to play their game but I’m really encouraged by how well defensively we played denying any passes in the paint. There was one point late in the 4th quarter where WVU got an easy 2 and I thought to myself, that was their only easy 2 all night.

Aggressive in your face defenses generate more fouls by nature. I thought Iowa, although advancing, really miss Molly Davis and her ability to penetrate and dish to the 3 point shooters. I also would have liked to see some high ball screens and rolls along with back door cuts. Want to play up close, beat 'em on backdoors.

Hannah looked completely lost out there tonight and that should be addressed. WV game plan succeded. It deserves some praise. Iowa is the top scoring team in the NCAA from making shots, not FTs. WV made more 3pt shots than Iowa. They deserve credit for having enough buddies to sacrifice for the cause. Iowa isn't shooting very many FTs normally As a sign is so many WVs committed more fouls than they took shots. What the rest of NCAA learned today is that Iowa will make there FTs. Even there worst FT shooter made four straight in theclutch.@@bpraise517

@@Zerox_Prime Precisely. Right away I knew this was going to be a football game, as Clark got shoved in the back with the ball in her hands and in front of the ref. No call. Clark held onto the ball but allowing such an obvious foul was a bad sign. Obvious fouls was allowed continuously. It was obscene. Frankly, it reminded me of the Pistons vs the Bulls way back, when the Piston were allowed to foul MJ, Pippen and company on every play. "You can't call every foul" was literally a Chuck Daly (coach of Detroit) quote. That was WV's strategy. The refs should have cleaned it up immediately but decided to swallow the whistle way too many times.
