It is interesting to note that even thought Iowa and Nebraska are big rivals, and for sure there was some tension, never once did these ladies take it too far. In fact, often, a player from the opposite team would help another player up from the floor. Now, contrast that to the SEC games this weekend - brawls, super hard fouls, etc. Just worth noting.........

Haven't seen the today's game Kate martian played. From this interview, it's sounds like she really played a great game. I happy for her . They say she the captain of the team and have great leadership qualities.

I've watched two full women's basketball games in my life...luckily the last two games Iowa played. This team is a squad. Magic Martin shows up and delivers. Gabby with the D. That second half claw back to top form was very cool to watch. Congrats!

omg, you are right. DJ acted like he never had a concern in the world every single game. Just a fine oiled machine, not a lot of super highs or super lows in play or emotion. Steady Eddie. But when he had to in big games, he could surprise you with another higher gear.

My husband and I were confused too. We kept yelling at the TV, “you’re leaving HER open?” Then, “you’re fouling HER???” At overtime. 😊Congratulations, ladies!

This was Hoosiers legend stuff, girls! PLAY YOUR GAME, NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Gabbie, Kate, Sydney, Hannah and the whole team were obviously in til the end! Caitlyn is obviously great, but, I was a little disappointed she was allowed to launch 0 for 9 from 3 to start. That was a lotta lost points and Nebraska was getting all the rebounds in that game.

Iowa fan here; both teams played great: one of those games when you feel bad for the losing team because of how well they played. Another observation: I don’t remember the Nebraska players complaining after fouls called on them. On the other hand it seems most of the Iowa players, especially Caitlin whine after every call against them…, it got to be very tiresome to me seeing this after almost every foul call . I expected better from my hawks!

She should wear the smart-girl glasses more often for post-game... seriously, Google a photo of her wearing the smart-girl glasses

Translation, the IA girls were TIRED - clearly (COACHING!!!) and Kelsey should be in there more without Headband but this is an EPIC team who were NOT going to lose their last year tournament together and took matters into their hands, thank the basketball women's God.

I like Kate more than Caitlin. She just seems more proper and unless unhinged. Actually, the whole Iowa team besides Caitlin are class acts. How people can say Caitlin carries herself well is beyond me - has minimal sportsmanship. She's basically one tier above that animal Cardoza.

They showed a lot of class actually!! No one said anything bad about the Hawkeyes. So I don’t know what you mean by classless when media didn’t ask the players or coach about Iowa.

Cool story bro. She was hurting for her team. She was emotional following a OT loss in a game against the favorite, including female basketball Jesus. Did you listen to her presser….did you see her breakdown?? No because you’re a troll. Contrast that with coach Bluder who threw a hissy fit and was cursing after the loss in Lincoln, because her team didn’t get to go to the presser first….really?? Why does she need to sing Iowa’s praises?? Doesn’t the media already do enough of it for you?? You do have the one of the greatest women’s basketball players of all time and that is all we have heard about for a couple of months now. You got another home game in the first round of the NCAA’s (unlike NU going on the road), enjoy it and quit making controversy when none exits.

@@willydaily7313 Every other opposing team Iowa faced gave credit to Iowa (win or lose). It’s a standard act of sportsmanship. Not from Williams and Nebraska players. I get it - they’re sick of the Caitlin Clark show. But they didn’t mind when CC sold out the Nebraska arena last month. And they don’t mind when ESPN and the whole sports world is now focusing on women’s basketball precisely bc of Caitlin Clark. Contrast the Nebby response to Clark’s pressers in the games Iowa lost. Night and day. Just whining and crying here “we played four games, they played three” “the whole stadium was against us” Wah wah wah. They played their best game. Iowa played their average game. Iowa won.
