She was a star player at Central Michigan, so she always had the talent. I think she needed time to find her place in the Iowa system, and that appears to have happened as she has played an increasingly important role on the team.

UConn fan here. First of all that was a great game, both teams left it all out there, Clarke is simply amazing, her range is just unbelievable and she does not get enough credit for her passing. Iowa as a team is underrated, it's not just Clarke, she has a very good supporting cast. Mland just would not go away. Hopefully the top teams will get through the first 2 rounds without any upsets in March. Sweet 16 and on should provide games like this one, many teams with a lot of fire power. Conference tourneys should be good games also.

I don't disagree, but there was only one reporter from Iowa out there. Most of these questions are coming from Baltimore/D.C. area reporters who only get one or two opportunities a season to see Caitlin and ask questions. As well as Molly Davis played, that's not the story for the Baltimore/D.C. media. Same for the Chicago media during the Northwestern game. If you notice, there is more balance in whom questions are directed toward for the games in Iowa City.

Kate is at a lot of the post game press conferences. She is the 2nd best player on the team. If the center did not miss so many close shots, then the center would be the 2nd best. To reach the Final Four this year, the center position (all 2 or 3 of them) needs to make more close shots, Molly needs to always be aggressive like this game, and Gabby needs more bench time. I thought the pregame speech from Coach Frese to her team was a little desperate, and they came out and played like there was no tomorrow. He was a showboat, a hot dog, a ball hog, but became accepted in the 70s and part of the 80s. M Jordan was a ball hog, glory seeker at times also. Now more emphasis is put on team. I dig Molly D! she low key kills you (assassin) the entire game. like if coaches would stop obsessing over stopping CC and factor in other players i.e. Molly D and Kate Martin killing! you the ENTIRE game thence maybe said coaches would seem less clueless. Ya CC may drop 41pts but when Martin, Molly, Skulky, Gabby ect. r constantly KILLING you (easy street) and the final score is in the 90's! That tells me flat out overall bad coaching in general not just Iowa. Like Iowa is this good their schedule should have been rearranged like u gotta play a west coast team this year like USC or UCLA. Iowa had no business playing Rutgers like that was so pathetic CC literally looked bored on the court.

Iowa will not go so far. Their big aren't that good. They miss too many layups and bunnies. Hannah is looking weak.

22 takes 29 shots, misses layups, plays ZERO D, pitches temper tantrums on the court when she doesnt get her way and you guys continue to praise her as a role model and a benevolent team player?! 😂

All valid points. However she did have two blocks and couple steals. She does rebound pretty well too. But you do make valid points.

I forgot to mention, she also leads her team in turnovers per game at 4.3 with 94 on the season! Next highest is 37!

You forgot leads the country in scoring, 2nd in assists and they have 2 losses on the season. And yes, she is fiery competitor on the court and a terrific role model off the court. You hate blinds you to obvious things. Is Steph curry, Steve Nash and Luka Doncic known for their d?? It is ok if you don’t like Caitlin but than don’t watch or comment on her videos ..the sold out arenas and nationally tv ratings tell you she is taking the women’s game to level never dreamed of….sorry you can’t just appreciate a dynamic talent…

@@Show_time3 🤣 that's cute. If I don't like or agree with something the I shouldn't watch or share my opinion...she is a phenomenal shooter! I'm merely saying that she is not the total package and to compare her as a college player to a pro player has to be a joke. She does lead the league in scoring...As she should!...she has 483 fieldgoal attempts and 287 this season alone! Shooting that much, you'd better lead the league in scoring! How could you not! But 94 turnovers this season??....she's leading there too.🤣

Great team with a great player but I think in the tournament the fact that they don’t have a good post player is really going to hurt them! They miss a lot of shots right under the basket!
