Iowa DCI names suspect killed in Sunday shooting in Waterloo

Two Waterloo police officers were wounded and a suspect was killed in a shooting Sunday morning near a park in Waterloo.
Police responded to a report of a man with a gun riding a bike in a neighborhood near just before 8:30 a.m. near the 200 block of Manson Street.
Officers arrived to find 35-year-old Kelvin Lee Plain Jr. riding a bike nearby in Sullivan Park, according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
Plain fled from officers on a bike before taking off on foot through the park. Law enforcement fired a taser at Plain, knocking him to the ground.

    Dude was literally excersing his rights and he was shot for it. What a shame. I would have stopped to talk with the police, but I'd be damned if I was detained.
