Because tbh these “features” are just to make it look different Apple focused on the phone experience for the past nearly 17 years and finished perfecting that (incredible optimisations, etc) and now are doing side quests until something better than phones come along Android is going the same but in the opposite direction so it’s really a matter of which you want first cause eventually they just gonna be the same thing

You can literally write an equation in notes, and the built-in calculator will answer it for you in your own handwriting. Not only that, but you can also graph something you wrote down. Yeah, apple won me over with this one. Its just so sleek!

I work at a phone store and the most issues I have out of any phone, whether it be literally a $30 phone that's our cheapest phone, or a Samsung s series. You run into many issues using them as a user especially if you're switching from Android because Apple is so locked down with their security that they don't allow you to use specific apps, features, and other sorts of things of that nature that are allowed on Android. Then there is the whole issue with when they do new things like this.. You may think that oh well the design/layout look cleaner or more interesting when they implement something like this but then you run into the issue that they limit certain things that you can do with specific features like this to where it's going to be a non-ergonomic easier experience.

"Vehicle motion" is the best feature of iOS 18 hands down. Took a 4-hour buss ride the other day, watched through the first LotR movie and didn't feel sick once.

Wow the next iOS is actually giving new features. instead of 5 more emojis lmao finally.

I was so shocked and surprised while watching WWDC when apple announced that you can now add colors on your apps like isn't that on android 13 color palette? Anyways I'm happy that they are catching up with android. It seems like this update, they got all in out and put all the features that android has already have. We dont know whats next on iOS 19? 🤔 i wish they will add a customization to keyboard and clipboard and moving a cursor just by tapping

Bro I saw someone call it IOS 18: the android update

So I have iphone 14 pro max and had it only for a year, and so called “Apple Intelligence” only gonna be available for 15 pro and above!!!! What kind of bullshit is that!!!

Siri def needs a major redesign and especially a major upgrade.

Finally I switch from iphone years ago because I just wanted a little customization. Might go back xxxx

@@xanthrax6179 it doesn't matter how many users do it because I do. I'm usually the one to modify all my game files in order to get 120 FPS or unlock certain graphics options or such. I genuinely do not care if other people don't choose to do this. It's really just their loss. If you want to keep using the iPhone then go ahead. The new update is probably pretty nice if you actually have one, but for me if I want a new update I can just do it myself

I would be excited if they finally add the option to sort photos from the library just like on android phones so you can move them to albums and not just adding them to it. Would help me a lot organizing my photos with my adhd

@@benross7362that’s only for IPhone 15 pro and beyond bc it has an AC17 chip, so all of the AI things mentioned (Apple intelligence) won’t be available even if you have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, you’d have to get an IPhone 15 pro

You know whats more useful thats not mentioned anywhere? The flashlight UI, it is crazy good now, and now you have control over its spread as well.

btw ALL of the ai features, like the genmoji, better siri, summaries etc. are ONLY for iphone 15 pro and pro max (at least when it comes to iphones), and likely anything released after, so for the majority of people with iphones, it's not useful. at all.

So you mean I spent 6 hours redesigning every app I had to be red just for them to add it to iOS 😭🙏

I was hoping to see that the dynamic pill may be used as 2nd display or just be used as spilt screen like Android anyway we are getting in ios 18 is still very great with huge customisation to apps

developer beta is currently out and i have it on my i12m which i’ve been daily driving, it’s pretty good but the ai isn’t out yet
