I have a 12 pro max and since I did the iOS 17 update I’ve noticed my phone battery drains quickly and it heats up often. Hopefully they can fix that issue with the next update soon

this is perfect! I never updated it since I bought it. I may try after this video. After the exposé on ex employee software engineer saying they intentionally slow older phones down so u run out to buy a new one, I never even updated my other devices. Especially my great running iMac.

My battery has like 70% battery health , so I'm gonna try a 5000mah upgraded battery for the 11 hopefully it lasts long

@@satorugojo4323 , If I could I’d send you a screenshot to show and verify that my IPhone is at 91% battery health. I don’t play games or “heavily” use my phone, but use my phone to take and make calls and play music via bluetooth on a speaker when working out. Everything else is done on Ipad.

watching this from my iphone 11. i have a question, the standby turns off after few seconds or say a min even if its on horizontal mode. is this because it doesn't have an always on display? but standby should always be on right what's the point then? let me know.

Battery USUALLY drains faster for a few days after the big updates because the OS is doing a lot of one-time tasks in the background after the update. That usually settles down after those first few days.

Mine is at 79 percent, it's not the greatest by any means, but for my context as someone who just uses the phone for texting and social media and a bit of light gaming I'm ok with it. I would have loved to get it replaced but unfortunately where I live there's no official apple store so I can only get it replaced by 3rd parties which means because of the software locks if I get it replaced I will lose the ability to actually see the battery health

I have an iphone 11 and since iOS 17, its been garbage. The screen starts to move, clicking things and acting up by itself. The only solution I found was to block it and pull up the control center, close it and everything runs ''normal'' for a while and then it does it's thing again.

Can you make a comparison Between iPhone XS Max and 15 pro Max ?

Just downloaded/installed iOS 17 on my mint condition (and mint green) iPhone 11. Have zero need to spend my hard-earned money on any other phone. iPhone 11's form factor, in my opinion, is the best. Sleek, not 'boxy' like the 12s/13s/14s/15s. The A13 Bionic is fast enough for me as well. Got a battery replacement so I'm at 100% battery health. Also got a (mint green) magnetic case so can use my Apple Battery Pack on it!

regular 13 here, the battery does feel a little worse than 16.6.1 but no big deal. i saw payette's video and they explained that every major ios update does/will drain battery because it has to recache the entire os, but should be normal in a week or so, so yes battery drain is normal for like a week

13 Pro user here, the battery drain is horrible. Don’t update it

They messed up with the ringtones. The purchased ringtones for messages no longer can be put on text tone, only on ringtone

My iPhone 11 Pro Max seem to like to crash often after updating to iOS 17

I absolutely love my iPhone 11.

I have an issue in my iphone 11 with iOS 17 installed. For some reason, when I charge my phone, it stays on the same percentage i left it. Basically charged it 50%, twenty minutes later, its still in 50%. AND IT GOES DOWN IF YOU TRY TO USE IT WHILE PLUGGED! I connected it to my PC and ran a third party app and saw the watt input go from 3.2W to 4W to 0W in five minutes. It's a software issue that apple needs to fix especially on older models that can be upgraded to iOS 17.

It could also be the cable or the charging port on the iPhone is going bad or the battery itself. Do you have another phone you can do tests on?

It made my iPhone 11 lag and battery drains. I am at 94% battery life and got it replaced a few months ago. I wish I didn’t update to iOS 17

Try and make one of these for Iphone 12 too. Want to be double sure before switching to iOS17 😬

Thanks for the video. I was curious how iOS17 will run for me because currently as of when I am typing this commeny my iPhone11 is in the midst of the upgrade! Hope it turns out well! Though my battery health has reduced, its around 70-75% I think. And I do have some dead pixels on screen :( But it works perfectly well for everyday use!

​@@itspribanerjee1st you definitely need a battery replacement and 2nd a dead pixels on LCD has no fix unfortunately 😢 so you also gonna need a LCD change to a new one

Unless you want a FHD+ display and some of the new features, I'd keep the 11. I wish I kept mine but certainly don't regret switching to 13 Pro

Camera is the one thing that really separates 15 pro from 11. The 15 is lightyears ahead, especially if you're a pro who wants to mix phone and "real" camera footage.

Im also having a issue rn with ios 17. I have 2 languages on my Iphone English (main) and Japanese, but some widgets wont change if I change the language to Japanese. Also when I try to search something in the settings in English, It'll only show anwsers in Japanese. I've also noticed that sometimes when I open the lockscreen from my homescreen, it'll get a somewhat noticeable frame drop. Is there a way to fix these problems?

i think you should do a full backup of your iPhone and downgrade you're phone back down to iOS 16.6.1 it's still signed. then wait till iOS 17 get Stable with no issues then upgrade. Hope this helps

I got it to work on my SE but not running it on my 13 yet. I want it to smooth out before getting it on the 13

i had a problem with charging tho , the original 20W charger from apple is draining the battery when plugged in but it's charging fine on my PC motherboard

I lost my 14 had to get a 11 for work real quick and got the 11 wonderful phone

I use to have a 4 hour screen on time on my iphone 13 mini with a battery health of 86% before updating to ios 17. But now I only get 3 hours screen on time.

broo iOS 17 is not Stable why did you upgrade ?! i think you should do a full backup of your iPhone and downgrade you're phone back down to iOS 16.6.1 it's still signed

Yes, you can upgrade, though you might get slightly less battery life.. Would recommend replacing your battery for a better experience, if you want to keep your device around for another 1-2 yrs or more..

I rlly want to update my phone. Cause interactive widgets and all my friends already have the update and keep using emojis i cant even see. But it seems like its just gonna make my already messed up phone worse like the last update did. And i don’t currently have the money for a new phone

IOS 17 is running great on my 11 after 4 years; Can do 2 years more with this, but yea, There’d be almost no resale value at that point. Currently I can sell it for $250.

Any kind of stutter or lag in the UI is a no go for me the A13 Bionic is a 6-core chip if it’s hitching at just 60hz the iOS update is not well optimized for this family of devices. I will stick to 16 for now. Thank you for this video though

yeah.. well iOS x.3 versions are when they usually get rock solid stable.. I was on iOS 15.0,.1 and.2 when it was in betas and I had a lotta issues. after that it became normal. same story with 16 as well....

15 plus is still 60hz but if you don't care about that then get it. The 14 Pro has awful battery health degradation. I know some people who was on 90% or less within the year

I have a question, im debating from getting either the 15pro/pro max or the s23 Ultra. Im coming from a S20 FE its an older phone from 2020. I dont know if I should make the switch to the iPhone or stay with the Samsung. Would I regret switching to Apple? Is it the better decision to stay with Samsung?

Honestly both are great phones its down to minor preferences. You can probably get the s23 for cheaper since its older. try to watch alot of comparison videos and see which you would prefer

I just tested my cpu with same app and my points are Single(1736) Multi-core(4167) before update.

I haven't updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 16.7 and so it's still on iOS 16.2, it will be ok if I update it to iOS 17 if I skip iOS 16.7?

Based on a battery test between iOS 15/16, latter one drain faster. Also, it works a bit slower on iOS 16 (e.g. when switching tabs in Safari). Not sure if iOS 17 is going to improve this, I would suggest staying on 15th since there are not many changes anyway
