I have been listening to this song thru many hard years. When my heart is just too heavy to pray I put this on. I am then carried into the presence of the Lord. He accepts the longing of my heart in silence as a sacrifice of prayer. "Draw near all you who are under a heavy load and He will lift you up." Amen

This song is so extraordinary! The production! The music speaks of the Power of God and AMAZING in its composition for that reason! Intense! I bet Beethoven himSelf would love to compose some string work for this tune! So powerful!!!! The only thing is that Iona is the Iona band with Joanna Hoogg (wrong spelling) and it is confusing to see the other photo denoting themselves as Iona.

I came back from Ireland six days ago - for the second time. Saw the book of Kells both times. I've been listening to this album since just after it came out, and still feel the same elation and encouragement as the first time I heard it. I think I might need to move to the Emerald Isle

Agree completely. Few other bands have brought me to tears as often and profoundly as Iona. There was a special anointing on them imho.

@massivivid Right. They are "Iona" but the U.S. band, not the U.K./Irish band that's playing the song. The U.S. Iona is a fine group, great tunes but a more Scottish tone(i.e. Scottish GHB/bagpipes) to their tunes, from what little I've heard. I've got the Book of Kells on CD-ROM from Dublin - a great investment for the hardcore Irish fan.

It came from holy island, written by monks from Ireland.
