INXS: Kick (Acoustic Sounds Atlantic 75th) Live Review
Музыка
This 20 million plus selling album from 1987 has been remastered by Ryan K. Smith from an EQ'd Dolby tape copy. This is another 45 RPM release on the Analog Productions label and pressed at QRP. Let's drop the needle on her and hear how she sounds!

First off, two great releases.INXS was at thier pinnacle when this album, a masterpiece, propelled them into the stratosphere!
Great review! The moment you put that needle down, memories of seeing INXS in concert in DC. One of the best concerts I have ever seen and I have seen many!
I have the OJC Bill Evans and they are enough for me . I’m sure the 45 rpm would sound better but then again will mess with the flow . I’m Australian and InXs are easily our greatest ever band . Michael Hutchence was a brilliant frontman and had an incredibly soulful and powerful voice . Such great use of the saxophone .
my mom is a huge fan of this record, thinking of buying this for her birthday soon lol
You have me so psyched for A75 Kick to arrive tomorrow! Fun listening and ty for sharing...sounds rad.
Talk about bringing back some memories! This album has songs that are still on my playlist!
Nice review! When I was in high school, I saw INXS touring on this record at the BJCC. Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers were the opening act. The album production is quite bright, but nearly everything was recorded that way at that time. Very good bunch of songs, I think.
Vocals sound amazing
I just got this as well. I love this record, but not as much as my wife. It's her all time favorite band and album. Because of this, I've been on the hunt for the best sounding copy. So far, I have this, the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs pressing, the Abby Road Half Speed Master, the original US pressing and all of the 12" singles. Up until this release, I still thought the 12" singles sounded the best. But this is now my hands down favorite pressing, and she agrees. It's rich with a wide sound stage. The highs are crisp and clean. The low end is there and deep with a good punch of the kick drum, but not overpowering. I feel at least to my ears that this is the definitive copy on vinyl for this album, and am very pleased with it. Worth every penny.

Interesting to know that you have all those to compare with and this one is the best! Thanks for commenting.
Great review! Greetings from Perú 🇵🇪
Very cool review
Ahh fantastic! Something i would want to have! I did get the Album for the Live Baby Live remaster, but ofc i have nothing to play it on . I'm sure it sounds great 👍
Sounds great and my should arrive next week!
Recently came across your channel and so appreciate hearing many samples of this release. I can certainly hear a difference even through my tablet speakers I’m watching this on, the awful sibilance from previous releases is gone! I will definitely be picking this up, thanks so much.

Great thanks for stopping by!
Always enjoy your reviews! The Atlantic releases are very good but I will pass on these latest releases I never got into INXS and I was disappointed in the first Bad Company release they did
Sounds great
Nice review. I have the 33 rpm 75th version on clear vinyl. A bit more in my price range lol but it does sound really good. Not a big fan of the 45 rpm as I think it spoils the flow of the album.
I have both the AP 45rpm Bill Evans box set and the two Craft Village Vanguard titles. The Craft is plenty, plenty good, in my opinion, as opposed to paying $300 for 2 UHQRs.

@@stevecasey6126 yes the $150 price tag is a bit much for me when you can get the Craft for 35 or 40 each.
Pop albums on 45 rpm is ridiculous.

Why? This cut is aimed at people who want the best possible sound. Shouldn’t matter what genre it is whether it should be cut at 45rpm…

Pop on 45 is ridiculous? Really?! Why is that then?
