INVITED FOR COUSCOUS IN A FAMILY HOME AND VILLAGE IN MOROCCO: Incredible hospitality and kindness!
Yesterday was a very special day for us in Morocco as we had been invited to visit a family home to share tea and traditional Moroccan cakes and sweets.
It’s hard to describe the feeling of such hospitality but the next day the family extended the invitation for us to visit their village home in the countryside.
And WOW! We knew Morocco is beautiful but experiencing home life in the village is the kind of experience we will treasure and that will be with us for a lifetime.
A very special thank you to Hasna and her family for such a special time.
Thanks for watching! :)

Hey guy's. Good on you for accepting the hospitality offered as yes, the best times for sure. Inland Morocco is stunning from North to South. See as much as you can, the colours, the terrain, the way the people have worked with the land and its environmental demands. Amazing. Worth driving along the valleys, seeing the Gorges despite a bit of a tourist attraction. Recommend also the Cascade d'Ouzord near Marrakech. Midelt, ( where Cath was invited to park her van and the girls of the family scrubbed it clean of sand and travel debris much to her embarresment? Girls joking with the older women who were tatooed saying they wouldn't get it done! Keep on going and you will see and experience more sensory overload!! All the best, from us after an exausting but exhillerating trip to the desert. Love your vlogs
That herb is Absinthe (Or Shiba in Moroccan). It's very traditional in Morocco and it is widely in tea, along with Mint. Most people have a preference between the two.

Harry's moment of glory: when he predicted the content of the bowl (laban) 🌟 It's processed cow or goat's milk (fermented and used either to get butter by shaking it in traditional ways or drink it with dry couscous... boiled rice, Tagoulla...). The laban is rich in proteins thanks to the natural fermentation process of the milk and the "thik texture" is due to small butter percentage of the laban. The thicker, the better...but it might taste "bitter" if drunk at the beginning (as the expression on the kid's face showed" 😖. Kid's might like it better if mixed with water in a third part (2/3 laban + 1/3 water). The homemade laban means that goats from the place (eating 100% Bio, happy in nature) has given excellent milk, and that milk was tenderly processed by old experts (grandma) to offer the best drink to the family and guests. Keep discovering our beloved country and take us with you. I loved visiting OUIJJAN and the ease you guys have in connection with local people everywhere you go! A new subscriber and follower from Sidi Ifni 🤝

As you travel through Morocco, you might catch a glimpse of some goats hanging out on the branches of the argan trees, chowing down on some green or brown bean-like fruit. The tree is prickly and thorny, so a lot of critters wouldn’t ever risk climbing it, but these goats are in it for the tasty fruit.
