The Northern Ireland Conflict, popularly known as The Troubles, was a period of conflict between the Irish Republican Army, the Ulster Defence Association, and the British military, which lasted for over thirty years. More than 3,600 people were killed, the majority being innocent civilians who were simply caught in the crossfire. Sadly, the scars of this conflict are still visible today.
