Check midcap index fund in comparison with active midcap funds almost similar returns. Most of active midcap failed to beat midcap index!

Absolutely. Very few funds were actually able to beat the index and one who did had just beaten the index with very small margin. Not worth the time. In midcap, Just buy midcap index and relax Or if want more volatility, go for midcap 150 momentum 50

In last 10 year , midcap index fund has given approx 20% CAGR. Most of the active midcap were not able to beat the index . And few of them who did beat the index have only beaten it by small margin. In rolling returns, midcap index have performed better then most active funds. And one outperform didn't outperformed consistently. Not worth the time research in midcap

I wouldn't like to invest in Motilal oswal. Portfolio of this fund is very concentrated only 21 stocks. Not well diversified. I think, HDFC midcap is much better option than this.
