Do you ever watch KZread videos, or just make them? I suggest searching for videos on the Geology (especially volcanoes) and botany of these places and whether other KZreadrs especially Food Vloggers have visited them before only showing what Google maps can see. You would actually be surprised to find out what other people who happen to be KZreadrs are "doing there" other than just living their lives.
When I zoom into street level on some foreign location where I've never been, I always choose what looks like a typical neighborhood and not the "sights." I'm curious what the homes look like, what cars they drive, and generally what daily life looks like there. I do this a lot!

I hate when I find a place that looks so nice and cozy and knowing you can probably never experience it or that nothing will match that feeling of looking at it from the other side of the world on your phone

Haha, yeah I do that too ... A few days ago I was casually viewing street view on maps on Alice Springs, Australia. A town in middle of desert. I was surprised to see a Nissan 370Z sportscar when I opened it
I was a travel agent for five years and during my downtime I would search random, isolated places on google maps and then try and build an airfare to that destination 😂
Pacific islands get little attention but they are great to explore. Great video
The older I get, the more I understand why people would live on a remote island!
Glad u all included Tioman Island. That's one of my favorite islands ever. I've been there so many times that I don't mind staying there...
I fly 4000 miles a week and I do look down from the window and wonder all the time who lives there and what it's like (especially small, isolated looking towns).

Prince Charles Island, discovered in 1932 but not put on any map until 1948 when it was rediscovered. In 1948, it was named after Prince Charles who was born in that year.
I still do this all the time would love a part 2

I think he meant "North Sentinel Island"
If you do part two, their's a couple place I'd like to suggest: St Pierre et Miquelon - French territory south of Newfoundland, Canada Ogasawara Island - Japanese archipelago in the middle of the Pacific ocean Pagan island - Volcanic island of the Marianas Haida Gwai archipelago - British Columbia Island populated by indigenous people Socotra - yemen island in the Indian ocean has a neat history In the same line, the Farasan and Hanish islands in the Red sea have interesting history Big Death Island in the Caspian Sea - near the mouth of the Ural And if you want a challenge: Dongbucuo, Nyima County, Nagqu, China, 853220
Thank you for this very beautiful n amazing n informative video love this
Yes, I'd like to see part 2! Your videos ate very pleasant
i liked the video, part 2 would be awesome
I love this! Whenever there isn't much happening at work, I zoom in on random islands on Google Maps and try to learn more about them. One interesting island I have found is Socotra, south of Yemen.
Looking for places like these and learning about their history is something I totally do when i am bored. Intersting ones for part two could be: Rathlin island, Tory island, Heligoland or Ogasawara-guntō
I loved the video, plz bring more of this
Very enjoyable video, thanks!
Wooo so look amazing sharing Thanks for great sending dear friend
I really liked the video. I would add Socotra (Yemen) and Fernando de Noronha (Brazil). They are trully amazing and unique islands.
The intro is very relatable
That was awesome! I love traveling on google earth
I literally spend at least 1 hour every week looking at random isolated islands and locations in siberia
I wasn't expecting to see Tioman here. It was my favourite destination in the late 90's. There's been quite a development since then but it's still not a popular but beautiful place. Try the western side of the island. If you're in a good shape and you have experience hiking in a jungle, try the east-west cross island trail. Otherwise don't attemp because you'll be miserable.
I could honestly watch these for hours
I have these same thoughts , great video
Same I remember going on google earth as a kid and look at random islands, I also do remember looking at some of the islands from the video
I think the Kuril islands between Japan and Russia would be a cool place to cover too

and it was rediscovered that year, despite being discovered in 1932…guess it was noted but never officially marked on a map until 16 years later
I also think always same looking at random places and islands, like recently I was looking at nikolski, atka, adak.
Please more of these
Do Pitcairn Island. One of the most isolated in the world, right in the middle of the Pacific. Everyone who lives on the island is descended from the mutineers on the Bounty and their Tahitian wives. After they were pardoned, most went to live on Norfolk Island, between Aus and NZ (including my ancestor), but 9 mutineers stayed on Pitcairn. Has a population of about 50.
Please work on the pronunciation. Google translate has a feature to help you with that.
This is a favorite hobby of mine!
If you ever do another video, please include Rathlin Island and Aogashima
I’m glad to see I’m not the only person to peruse Google earth like that!
I had to go to a library and open an atlas. Then I had to open an encyclopedia. It took years to get the information it took you 15 minutes in your pj's
Man i wish this was 40+ minutes long 💯, part 2!!!!?
(1) Actually Monarch Islands look rather barren, little but grass cover, and very much like cold-weather islands. (2) Iki Island is certainly not "tropical"! Look there; it is right between Japan and Korea, which is nowhere near the tropics. Although the weather is rather mild. Japan does of course have nearly tropical islands too. There's the Ryuku archipelago, with Okinawa, stretching down southwest of the main islands...but then there's also the islands stretching down towards Iwo Jima to the southeast. And the interesting thing about this latter archipelago is that it's politically part of the city of Tokyo!
U should do this but for just polenisa/Oceania or just the arctic
Vananatu? Its vanuatu
Beautiful ❤️ Australia 🇦🇺
WOW when I was a kid & being fascinated with geography... All I had was globes & maps. 🤣
I WANA SEE PART 2 :)
Plz make a part 2
I was literally playing the Iki Island part of Ghost of Tsushima yesterday haha, it's part of the expansion pack. Funny little world we live in.
If you ever do a part two, I ask you to include this island: Tristan da Cunha, UK 37°06'14.9"S 12°16'41.0"W
I live next to a town called Grottoes, Virginia. I just now learned that that means a cave surrounded by greenery. I wonder how many other locals have no idea...
I still do this. Looking at maps is a favourite thing to do for me.
I think Camiguin island in the Philippines is the strangest to live in, it has boasts about 92,800 people but, there are more volcanoes than towns, there's about 7 volcanoes and 1 is active, which erupted and sank a cementary which is now a popular diving spot.

wow that's so random 🤣
Back when I was in school, we had a globe and many of the pacific islands were too small to even be shown on it. LOL!
hello from rebun Island, japan!
I'm surprised to see there are many people like me who randomly go to google maps and check out satellite view and street view of random places around the world!!
Wrangel Island - a frozen piece of land in northeastern Russia, known for being the last place you could see the mammoths. The last mammoth died there only 4000 years ago, at the time the Pyramids of Egypt were built
In the next one you could add Marajó Island, in the northern coast of Brazil.
I used to do that with my world atlas long before the Internet era!
new-clear not new-cooler
Funfact: Indonesia has over 17,000 islands but only 6,000 are inhabitated.
When I was a kid we had atlases and globes. Google Maps was unheard of 😅
Hey from Port Royal Island, SC
Dude fr if you do a sequel you have to talk about one of the azores islands
there are many mysteries that are not yet known by many people, the earth still has many mysteries, all we know about the earth is only half of it, Btw this video is very good because it can increase knowledge
I grew up in the 80s and 90s so we had no Google Earth but I did the same thing with a globe haha. Except the internet didn't exist so we couldn't just look up facts about these places...just had to imagine what it might be like.
this one, pulau seribu are 1000 very small islands near java. also worth visiting
more of this please
The "Chota Inak" you have mentioned, is different than "North Sentinel Island" The tribe which attacked everyone belongs to North Sentinel island. It is another island situated in the West of Andaman's capital Port Blair. The photos you have shared is of Sentinelese people. Chota Inak, is part of Southern Nicobar islands.
7:20 Vananautu bottom text
well i'm glad im not the only one
it's funny to see that as someone who comes from a tropical island, people here think of vacations and nice places in like Europe and USA it seems like there a nice place to live is a hot island 😅😅
When I was I kid I used the National Geographic atlas. #old 😕
7:40 Vanunatu 💀
I’m very interested of weird places
my dad actually worked on Johnston Island a long time ago!
Another cool island is Anticosti Island off the coast of Québec
When I think of Japan, I actually do think of tropical islands and white beaches, but probably only because I played World at War religiously
Iki Island is not Tropical, it's far north of the Tropic of Cancer. You can say it's subtropical based on the weather but it definitely is not in the tropics.
LMAO AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HEARD HIM SAY VANUATU WEIRDLY
2:40 Andaman Andaman and Nicobar Islands are not inhabited by that tribe. The Sentinelese tribe is only in just one island called the "North Sentinel Island", which is close to the main Andaman Island. It's just 50 KM away from Port Blair, a city of over 140,000 people.
I love islands
Could you provide the text of the videos? I am hearing impaired and would like to read your content. I love your channel. Thanks

dang what a beautiful island. took a quick look at it on google earth, some of the villages look pretty hard to get to makes me wonder what’s the point of living in tiny slivers of land down the cliffs when there’s plenty of space uphill. I’d definitely mind my step in your islands the cliffs go cray 😵 The views look so good in this sunny pic im looking at but ive heard it also rains alot in the azores. Consider yourself lucky to live there cause i got the short end of the stick and am stuck in the crappiest island on earth (java 🤢)
My family is from Muyua island
I just zoomed into the first island and he said it's name 😮

That's not chota Island. That's the north sentinel island. I e been there, but was chased away by the inhabitants.
Isla de los estados!!
As you have said, they don't attack outsiders but don't want outside influence mainly because what they have seen or heard from neighboring islands due to outside deceases which they are not immune. Indian Government maintains this very intelligent policy of no contact. If others abide by this, no problem.
Add Tristan da cuhna in the part 2
