The ASM-TF is great i tried it. It glows also under UV (not glowing in this video because of the bottle). Its very good, basically its the old Amtech 👍🏻. And a very cheap, the price will go high i am sure after all ppl knows about it.

Upvote for Shadow and Cotti. As to the point - I wonder what pH does this flux have and what's the complete activation temperature? For what solidus that was designed, id est? And halogens content, what happens to the pure copper soldering tip (test media, no more than that) at 400C? You know, we tent to overheat to work faster... ;) Blacklight glow designed to check if there is an unwashed flux residue. Second edit - UHF circuits, or my English isn't adequate? I thought that UHF part messed with my brain, you know, silver lead/flux for UHF skin effect to use at UHF radio frequencies.

@@Rhine_Labs Thank you, really. I was wondered, cause there are quite a lot of corrosion-tent (tended? US EN, sorry) fluxes that have quite a low pH up to eating up not even alumin(i)um but marine concoctions of metals :) For my second question, about solidus - WHEN and WHERE that flux reacts at onto being neutral? Either in chemical or electrical sense? 4-5MOhms are ok, 5-9 fine, 8-12... Excellent, MilSpec BTW. I am Russian. I (what a pity) used to use what was available as hobbyist ;) Mouser.. Nostalgia.

@@Rhine_Labs Upon solidus: there are a lot of standards... ONE of these is NASA. No lead-free solders. In military, space and couintry defense.

Curious to hear how these turned out. I am looking for some new flux and haven't had good luck with what I found on Amazon. I am just a hobbyist and fix small electronics for fun. What flux do you recommend?
