If he works on his live clean vocal even more, they gonna be huge.

I wish metal singers would put more time and practice into nailing the singing parts live. Im not criticizing this video or performance.... I just feel like its something that is MAJORLY lacking in live performances with metal music.

I must admit, I agree with you completely. First thing, you have to mention is that, metal music must be extremely tiring to play physically - all instruments. Same goes for singing. Screaming must be exhausting as hell, and to mix that with these high level cleans, must be very hard - especially to maintain those levels through a tour, or many tours, for many years. Take a look at Sam Carter of Architects. He was absolutely killing it live in 2015 (Summerblast - take a look, it's on YT). But these last years he just doesn't have it. He sings about 40-50% of the lyrics, and even those feel.. forced. Feel bad for him.

@@conthemar Marcus slays most of his performances. Personally I just think its s stylistic thing. Some styles of screaming are just simply too intensive for most people, even if you're super fit, to hit a 10/10 performance every single night on tour. Other styles of harsh vocals are much more condusive to it. Dude here in IA can clearly kill both cleans and harsh in studio but seems like his style of either or both is super tough physically to do. Best bet would be if they had a bass player or second vocalist do cleans in my opinion. If he truly just cant do both at at least a 7 or 8/10 live he prob needs to figure out why or they need to snag another singer

Every modern metalcore band really need 2 vocalists. Extend the power for each of them. Because he's on his last leg imo. And I've followed the band for 10 years. The falloff from studio to live should is embarrassing
