yeah, they know what we want. we wanted new, not changed. aside from the updated aesthetic (crisper lines, less contrast and brighter, softer shapes overall), its pretty much the same zim i grew up with and adored, and its just from the trailer

First Cartoon Network brought back Samurai Jack, then Disney announced they're bringing back Clone Wars, now Nickelodeon is bringing back Invader Zim. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the return of Megas XLR next (Even though I know it's unlikely to ever happen)

I guess it's theoretically possible for Netflix to do so, just annoy them via their request page like I always do. Because Streaming services are technically not TV and thus shouldn't count. I mean if you can still buy it on Xbox Live and apparently itunes, that should be fair game.

@@ShadowWolfRising well it WOULD be theoretically possible to get megas XLR on Netflix however, that theoretical possibility kinda vanishes into smoke when you realize CN still has the rights to megas xlr, but can't do anything with it do to legal reasons. So Netflix would have to buy the rights of megas xlr from CN, or get CN to give permission for Netflix to air megas on their streaming service neither seems possible.

It is too clean, too round and too colorful. The original was much shraper in it's corners giving it more of a unsettling look and colors muted. But it looks like it is more based off of the comic rather then the original show. Either way I am still really hyped, it's not really a drastic change so I dont really mind.

Though no one watched it the first time around, it was because other "weird" style shows were also showing on Nick at the time like Fairly Odd Parents. Sadly because Fairly Odd Parents was a little more comedy driven and this more insane/creepy kids went for the Fairly Odd Parents and it, as well as a few other shows on at the time were just more appealing. Since then Nick has re-shown the series several times, with one a few years back being a test to see if it was possible to make the show return. However, even though there was a huge amount of views for the re-run, the series wasn't renewed because the price was too expensive to bring it back. And this... Is the problem. Invader Zim now has the audience it never had before and people are finally interested in it, but Nick sees the price tag to bring it back and shys from it. This movie is part of a anniversary film run and several of Nicks classic shows like Zim are getting them. So this is a one-off thing and all part of Nicks celebration. Sadly I don't know what other shows are getting movies only they are. But if this gets the audience and brings home the bacon, I wouldn't be surprised if it sees Zim get Nick back on it again. The same goes for all other movies their making for their old shows.

Jhonen Vasquez just makes me so happy. He made my childhood just that much better. All the other kids shows that came on afterwards just kind of hurt my soul in comparison.

Never have I clicked on something faster. I checked KZread to finish a video, saw this, had a heart attack, and now 2019 can't come sooner. Seriously, some of the best cartoons are getting revivals (Young Justice, The Clone Wars, this), and they all look amazing.

Found some episodes and was trying to remember how it ended and found out about this movie. This spring! I can't freaking wait.

So glad first childhood show to come back that actually looks amazing
