Everything is expensive in kerala when compare to Dubai due to double taxation. We need give upto 35% tax for our income.... After taxable income same money when we buy anything ,again we need to pay sales/product tax according to product sometime upto 100% If this tax is using for people welfare then happy to pay tax, but unfortunately only 25% is used for right purpose, 75% of tax is wasting due to corruption. In UAE, no income tax, only 5% vat on product that is very negligible

I was very fond of foreign countries, especially after living in Dubai for quite sometime…now settled in Kerala.. always wanted to go Canada or UK.. but now loving Kerala or Dubai becoz seeing so many vlogs of Canada and UK found out that life is so slow there.. no night life and too much cold.. grass is not that greener on other side..

@ its a good decision that u settled in kerala. Myself have 75 members of close and extended family in diffrent states in usa migrated from 1960 . All most all their roots are totally out from kerala and none of the current generation knows any of them . Its a sad reality of migration . We dont need to 10 crores to live a contented life in kerala . Kerala is the best to retire if we know to live with in means

Almost in same boat as you guys. Took UK citizenship and OCI card 2 years back after much contemplation. Never felt happy with the ceremony. saw a lot of very happy faces and for them it meant the world but for me it was just painful... Never felt happy and so I decided.. Finally planning to go back to kerala. If all is good in april back to kerala for good. It is too much of an emotional journey.

It was around 6-8 months for processing and then we had to do the exam . Once we clear the test it takes about a couple of weeks to get the final passport in hand . Processing time might be different now .. it’s been more than a year since we got it

@@jlo7204 HI.. winter is hard in Cananda .If you ask me you get only normal 6 months in a year.Medical area sucks.My H had to wait for 4 hrs in front of emergency room till a doc attended him and appointment for a specialist was given for after 2 months ..that's 8 week's period for a serious condition he had then. God gives only 60 + summers in life if we are lucky.we already spent 40 plus summers and want to be in a place where we like and has people around us for rest of our life :-) Canada is not for everyone..

@@veenamshetty yup . Winter is deadly . Yes medical appointment can take very long if its non urgent matters. I dont buy the chick words when people highlight education free this free that free. To me nothing is free cos they are already taxing 20 to 35% upfront tax from public and its redistributed in the form of welfare. Ultimately its our money . To get a white collar job might be an uphill task unless some one into IT or niche skill sets. Canada population is highly educated hence most top end jobs are naturally dominated by whites and i think its logically right cos its their country . Hence we indian doctors /engineers work as security guard or drivers.infact no job is bad but if someone look for similar profession it can be a night mare .. I have close friends who went to canada with pr and came back in 1 year and cancelled pr. After all canadian immigratiom is multibillion dollar businesss. Canada never promise any one rose gardens. They know only 10% survive but they want immigrants money to propel their icy economy in the form of renting appartments /buying cars/need low wage worker for timhortons . Need people to remove hard snow from roads . . Migration consultancy in kerala makes tons of money too by routing people to canadian provinces showing maple trees and picturseque lawns. Poor mallus fall for it and finally get frost bite loose everything shelve their canadian dream and come back to reality . Once they land in kerala. They realize how mighty our kochu keralam except cheap politics of drug and thug criminal minsters ..

@@veenamshetty While deciding country for higher studies, my son said he will not be going to Canada. I was surprised as Canada has become the first destination for Indian students. His opinion is, in Canada he will be loosing half of his life to the harsh winter so it is not worth it. He said he will prefer to stay back in India given a choice between India & Canada. Finally he chose Europe and happy about it.

@@Obelix5658 Your son got great decision capacity..Kudos :-) My kid too thinks that for higher education Canada can be one of the option but not the only option as he thinks some other countries too got great academic institutions. I believe we should not toil hard and compromise our life to give a red carpet walk to our kids rather we should give support to all their decisions and trust their capabilities. Green card or PR doesn't always guarantee a happy or successful life ...

I came to Canada 3.5 years back and had gone back to Kerala twice on vacation, once for 2 months and now recently for 6 months.. I know that sometime soon we will be faced with the same dillema of whether to apply for citizenship or renew the PR.. It breaks my heart to even think of surrendering my Indian passport, there is so much emotional attachment, also it is not that we had a bad life in India, it was a happy childhood and a good life so there is really nothing to run away from, which makes the decision making even tougher.. it was nice to see this video because i haven't met a lot of people who think this way, mostly people are quite excited about the prospect of getting citizenship.. i used to wonder why i am so attached and emotional about this..

Are there any extra merits that u can gain through other countries citizenship... This thought is making me to not to surrender my Indian citizenship.. I live in Australia and decided not to give up on my Indian passport... Even if u are legally a citizen, u will be always recognized as an Indian not an Australian or Canadian.. If the children wants to stay here, well it's their life afterall... Just my thinking.. No offense to anyone

Actually new generation wants to shift to other countries..all r educated nd our Kerala state is very hard to survive nowadays..
