Introduction to London System. Black's e6,b6 lines.

This introduction video shows my earliest approach to the system with a non-standard long castling opposite wing attack plan. Game vs. GM Aseev in 1986.
I would employ this plan for a couple more years before switching to a more standard plan with short castling.
An important side note, is that such structure is typical in both White's 3. Bg5 and 3. Bf4 lines, hence its importance. We'll take a more detailed look at some games later.

Gata, it's a pity you haven't made any more videos on the London. As a super-knowledgeable person about this System, having more videos on the London from you, would have been a goldmine for us, club players and players in general.

Thank you for this interesting presentation of the London System. The London System was played the first time in London 1922. Among the players playing the London System there were: Capablanca, Alekhine and Rubinstein. Max Euwe lost to Morrison. Two world champions won with it and one lost to it.

Think about playing John Bartholomew's Qd8 scandinavian, there is a course on chessable with it, there is just no pawn on d5

The reverse london is great. And the semi slav against the queen's gambit. Those are pretty similar to the London

Gata is such an amazing player, so mistreated by both USSR and USA chess federations, it's sad.

It's a shame this guy put all that work into this system, only for it to be refuted by the five point palm exploding heart technique.
