One has to start some place. He will be a great lecturer one day. I actually used this lecture to make the point Stanford has its weaknesses too. Thanks again to the school for open course ware.

+Ronald Campbell Despite the poor camera work you're right. He is obviously intelligent and able to speak comfortably to crowds.

We do all begin somewhere, the only problem I have with this is the cost and selectiveness for Stanford. I would feel a bit cheated if this were my second lecture after such an enjoyable introduction.
"He's been making up these stories longer than I've been alive", lol the shade, I love it , that was so refreshing.
I love this guy, hes such a classic nerd.
Fun drinking game: take a shot every time he says "I don't know"
I wish I could see the diagram that he was lecturing
we forgot to pay the tuition, that's why we can't see the lecture
very serious and professional people...
Owww, if focus on the speaker instead of the screen is supposed to entice me into signing up for the class so I could enjoy the diagrams to their whole extent, that's not going to work since for me if I didn't like the sample I am not going to buy the whole thing. The lecturer is talking and explaining sth, but I have no idea what it is since I don't see the slides which are supposedly can be seen for those who are in the auditory
I think he did a good job. Every famous comic has bombed on stage before, he was not bad
39:48 - The TA was right, the haber process filters nitrogen out of the air.
i need the book the teacher made... i didnt really learn anything in this lecture also. dont know if it was the content of the lecture or if it was the lecture style... but isnt it obvious that there is some sort of process for whatever chemical reaction, or product that starts from raw material to finished product? dont understand what the point of this lecture is, maybe someone can explain it to me.
they need to incorporate the overhead.
Can we have the link to the book pdf
Bless this poor man's soul. He tried, but fell short at explaining.Basically stuff going in and getting seperated to produce products could have summed up all those slides. It was like watching him attempt to decipher the deep meaning of pieces of art. He tried, but it was a mess.

Goodness he could have just shown the paper at 34:18 and ran through the images quickly to save time (and confusion).

He sucked, he didn't know much. I thought chem eng was hard.
Nice video!! :)
"..it's kind of half assed." - like this presentation
i agree with you.i thought i would see the slides. The camera man/lady decided otherwise.
@Trashboldus But after minute 6 they switched focus...
A very boring lecture sadly but still Better than nothing!! Thanks anyway 👏👏
I think you guys confuse entertainment with ChemE
nobody cares about the speaker. show ths slides instead ffs
tough crowd
zoom out, so I can actually see what he is talking about.
It,s good to make people laugh in boring lectures
i watch these to learn from a prof. not another ta
Under the bus he went good boy
Omfg. Stand still!!
word
just read the book...lol
@momarjones i think tax books/classes are worse. i can't think of ANYONE who is interested in taxes.
ah, chem e nerds are as cute as epidemiology nerds. sweet!
he looks like a proper nerd
Can't imagine why this TA is "the head TA"; makes the subject so uninteresting and confusing!

I'd imagine it has something to do with the whole "This is being recorded for the Smithsonian" in combination with him being new to his job.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz. what happened?
A relatively low quality production. I expected more from "Stanford". What do I want for free? Much more and high quality.

Dude, it's from 2008. You should be glad it's in video.
peter parker got jokes fam
He should have come prepared considering he was to conduct the class.... over that the cameraman makes it worse. You may skip this one completely.
poor videography, as usual.

For $50k a year you can be your own videoprapher! Of course you won't get in though.
they laughed for channing more
the speaker: why the hell i am assigned this course. .
Una clase malisima, pensar que es un ayudante notable. No sabe nada, no ha visto nada, su profesor lo haria mejor dice, obvio que si.

El video lo paso pero no el ayudante del profesor
You can really tell this guy has never stepped foot inside of an oil refinery. It is always frustrating to get TAs like this.

Boring lucture
"Bad news" presentation. ...
yeah, the typical nerd. He'd look more consistently as an electronic engineer. We chemical engineers are the 'cool' guys of engineering.

Еврейский? Откуда такая информация? В следующей лекции лектор на М. Задорнова похож. :-)
Why is he teaching something he doesn't understand?
This guy has no idea what he speaks about... Plenty of mistake...
