So when I finally decided to the pull the trigger on this they were out of the 3 car set so had to go with the 2 car set with the Ford GT. Planning on building this in my garage, got most the accessories with 4 driver displays. Trying to find a good free source with track layouts... I notice you don’t have the pit stop... so I really like your layout but may add a pit stop. Love all the videos! And thanks for introducing me to another way to go deeper in debt.... lol....but have to have something to do when it’s not flying weather. Keep them coming!

I actually have the pit stop now 😉 check out our set up video on the channel I also recommend the Bluetooth race connection and smart race app best $30 you will spend especially if you want to use the pit lane

I’ve had a lot of slot car tracks growing up everything from the cheapest little figure 8 tracks to Tyco slotless and AFX. I just recently got into swap cars again and now I am racing at the local dragstrip but I would like to eventually get a Track for my garage and the Carrera digital set has always intrigued me. I think I will eventually pull the trigger on

I use Carrera and 1 high end pro car from NSR. But I use Carrera track all the way so far. Nice video 😊

Cool Video! I'm into both Scalextric & Carrera Digital, but I decided Carrera is a lot easier to setup the cars, Manual, & Ghost. I saw Monster Hobbies setup 4 lanes, & all they use is the Lane Crossovers or the Switch, for Electrical Continuity, to complete the Circuit.

Great information and well presented. I am planning to purchasing a set and was wondering, what set you would recommend. Thanks

its a 11x5 table and I have a few add on parts for the track

I've been using HO scale and have considered doing a 1/32 digital track next but I'm not sure I will truly take advantage of the digital features enough to justify the cost. Thanks for the video and explanation, do you run 1/24 cars? Also, Will it do 1/24 in digital? I know you can only do 4 cars instead of 6 with 1/32, but curious if you have to buy anything else if you want to do 1/24 digital too. Thanks again

Yes 1/24 cars can run on this track also it requires you to use a different power supply. All the digital features carry over to

What are the dimensions and cost of the setup as you have in the video?

Cool video. Currently in the market for my first digital set. I plan to have 4 regular racers and hoping to grow a few more along the way. So what’s the justification for the Carrera cost? Both systems look like they have nice cars, nice tracks and nice controllers. But it appears I can get much better deals and wireless stuff for less $ through Scalextric. Just curious what makes Carrera worth the money?

Not sure on the scailextric as I don’t have it but most people kept telling me Carrera had the best digital sets so I grabbed one. I will say the local club runs mostly scailextric but it’s analog

@@jkabee Hi Jaybird, you’re right, they are close and either one is going to be a great experience. Not even 3 weeks ago I purchased a Carrera Go 1:42 scale analog set. I figured I’d play around with it for a little and give me something to do since most of my time is home now with this Covid situation. I started buying extra track, accessories, and more cars. I’ve also been watching a ton of videos and realized there’s a whole slot car sub culture out there and saw what having a digital set can add to the experience. I was going back and forth between both brands, wondering which was the better choice for me. I just sunk a few hundred dollars into a set that really limited my experience. I have not regrets, but I don’t want the same thing to happen with switching over to 1:32. I decided to go with Carrera 1:32 mainly because if it wanted to try get into 1:24 cars, I can use the same track and won’t have to buy another starter set and extra track. I just need a transformer, and that’s it t. Also, the Carrera pit lanes offer a longer entrance and there was something else too that is escaping me, but mostly the ability to try the 1:24 scale. Just something to think about, but either way you’re going to enjoy what digital offers. My set is due to be delivered tomorrow. Have fun man.

Do you know if you can get parts and track for older carrera sets? I have one from the late sixtys and I am looking for parts.

Very very awesome, no clue you had ever done a slot car track, We have a Carera Go track 1:43 at home, purchased about 4 years ago trying to get my father into doing something besides just sitting in his wheelchair but he only played a couple of times, my wife seemed to really enjoy it but didn't have room for the track in the house ( it was on top of the pool table ) and made that useless. I took it down but recently got it back out and me and my wife have had some fun, Like yourself we found a local Slot track and have been 2x, one no one was running the the 2nd people raced. its cool and all but man the drive up to it then the $ to play and or to race it can really add up. I decided after watching all of your home videos to order a 1:32 Digital set. i think the 1/32 will be cooler and closer to the 1/24th they race at the track.. do you know what all Tracks will work on this 1:32 Digital track? I understand the Scalextric 1:32 cars will work if they are DPR correct? you just need to buy that $43 chip to go in it... This to me seems lot cheaper then that Tex box you have, however its really cool to switch, that is a lot of money up front.. did you ever do the App? i didn't see a video about it or maybe i over looked it.. Can't wait for the new track to come and me get it set up, i ordered extra track and hope to do a layout similar to yours, just so i can use all of my table.

I have a carrera track from the sixties and it still works. I was 8 when I got it. All my friends had them and we would race every weekend taking turns at friends homes. One of my buddies had a four lane track.as kids we were rough with them.

Hobbytown is the worse place to get advice most of the time, however they did sell me my Go set 1:43 a few years back, but i also knew the dude who worked there cause i had worked in the RC part of that store years back.
